I fell for this the first time I encountered it and I was so annoyed that I can't find them again. I even patrolled the streets of Saint Denis like a hound at night. The thing is, I know this guy was most likely gonna rob me but I didn't know they're not gonna give me any options to fight back during said robbery and that they'll instantly knock me out. I thought it was gonna be like those robbing encounters on the road where they hold you up and you can grab your gun to start a fight. So now, in every other playthrough, when I see this guy, I just start blasting as soon as he steps in that alleyway. LOL

@@alienmagi Right?! Because on all other encounters on the road, you were given a chance to "surrender" and then pull out your guns for a counter. So, you'd think at first that you will have the same here, but naah, they just steal your shit then you can't find them anymore. LOL

When I came across this I knew it was an ambush but I went in anyways thinking it would trigger some interactive fight scene. They just knocked me out and I woke up in a graveyard with no health or stamina and a missing $2k

I think this is the one event that pissed me off so much... because I was using an invincibility cheat at the time so I waltz in thinking if it was an ambush I would just shoot my way out. nope, stupid game took control of my character and I was forced to get robbed.

Playing this game for the first time and I literally ran into these people for the first time yesterday. I knew it was fake but I thought I’d be able to use dead eye to kill everyone in time. Nope. Can’t do anything about getting knocked out and losing $1.5k. Went right back right away but guys disappeared so I couldn’t get it back. Almost rage quit the game right there.
