I'm not going to criticize Joe Bonamassa for having so many guitars. The only reason I don't have as many as he does is because I can't afford it. But I love them every bit as much as he does. As he said, he's doing what he absolutely loves. So he went a little overboard. Maybe he went way overboard. But it's what he loves and it makes him happy. I only started collecting guitars about 11 months ago. Fortunately I had all my bills paid (school loans, mortgage, car, I didn't have any bills). But ever since I started collecting I'm looking for ways to buy another one all the time. They are so beautifully made. I freak every time I see a new Custom Shop.

SG guitars are the most underrated model out there. Great sound for Blues, Hard Rock obviously, but also works super well with pedals so its a guitar the indie guitarists should really look into. Well built, great pickups and built like a tank!!

My first guitar I bought well used in 1966 was an SG sort of off white covered in checking with a Bigsby. Two pickups. Years later (1989 or so) i bought a cherry one new. Wish i still had them.

@@richardsisk1770 yes, great guitars, and the pickups I would best describe as pure and powerful. Great thing for you and me though is that they are actually quite affordable, even the older ones. I was born in the very early 1970's.buddy of mine's dad had one of these.when he died he gave it to me cuz his son didn't play.Headstock wasn't so ornate, neck is identical(really slim and easy to play IMO).Only 2 pickups. No gold appointment. Check mark and has the vibe- rolla and the tailpiece. Was told it's a '62.It's one of the cleanest ones I've ever seen.I feel like the luckiest man on the planet to get it because it was free.I feel bad my buddies pops passed, but the man saw fit to leave it to me and I am just Joe average. Not Agnesi(sorry homie Lemmo got you beat as far as personal style).I'm not Joe Bonamassa either. But I would not like trading back and forth with him if we jammed.as far as the evolution of guitar player I'm stuck on the cusp of maybe being Peter Green 1965.he's like Peter Green and yngwie malmsteen rolled together with a little bit of Eric Gales jazzy type deal going on. He's super fast and uses a lot of overdrive. We would not make a nice fit.I'd be playing super simple blues.Hed be shredding the blues.Every time I play that Sg/Les Paul, I think of my buddy's dad and being young watching him play it.he was always just like chilled out in the lazy boy chair with the TV turned down and the guitar not plugged in.Hs strings were always a heavy gauge, they were super clean.original case. And it looks like it's been kept under a carpeted bed for right around 50 years.Pretty much did live under a bed for 50 years but was played with extreme care all the time.I met the guitar in like it 1981.. so I've been familiar with this guitar before I owned it in 2010,(wow I've been screwing around with this thing for 39 years).damn I'm old.And it was a 61 or 62 I can't remember and I'm not familiar with seril # shit.Whe part of me doesn't really want to search and find out.because It possibly could ruin of what my dead friend's father told me was the year of the guitars manufacturing date.If he's incorrect,I don't want to find that out it'll ruin my memory of that certain event that took place when I was a very young teenager.first time I played with my buddy's dad who was damn good.HIs playing rubbed off on me a lot. What I play I think of what would he do...... Then I proceeded to screw it up..OH HELL I HAD TO EDIT MY COMMENT BECAUSE THEY STARTED TALKING ABOUT THE SAME THING ABOUT NOT FINDING OUT THE EXACT YOUR MANUFACTURER BECAUSE IT WOULD RUIN THE STORY!!... NOT THE GREATEST GUITAR PLAYER ME BUT THE GREATEST MINDS DEFINITELY THINK ALIKE!.AT LEAST I THINK MINE'S PRETTY GOOD AND ME AND THEN AGREED ON THAT BEFORE THEY EVEN SAID IT.,✌️😀✌️.now these dudes are even appreciating it and playing it for the fretless wonder that it is. This is like watching me with my own guitar but being a better ability. Careful there Norm at 13 minutes or so.You just sold him that sg/Les Paul deal, and now you're"conveniently throwing during a small conversation", the 335 with the bigsby you saying you have.He just bought one don't try and sell him another man you're going to kill him. That's the businessman in you.In people your age(I can appreciate it).but as people at middle age?some might feel kind of weird some of us trying to sell two guitars that are completely ridiculously expensive at once.
