Finally the big reveal.... That's right folks, back in the Autumn of 2013 Lee Anderton, of Andertons Music Co, got to meet one of his favourite guitar players - Mr Joe Bonamassa. The meeting was set up by the guys at Marshall Amplification so that Joe could check out an amplifier that Lee & the team at Marshall had designed & built to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Andertons Music Co.
The amp is called a CS JTM145 & is based upon the kind of amps Marshall were making in 1964 - the year Andertons Music Co first opened. The Custom Shop JTM145 is limited to just 200 pieces & will be built exclusively for Andertons in 2014. Worldwide shipping is available.
For the full spec & more information on this highly limited edition & UK made tube head, please click on this link - www.andertons.co.uk/electric-g...
Thanks to all the team at Marshall for making this happen.
Thanks to Paul at www.ampaholics.org.uk for his invaluable input
Thanks to Joe Bonamassa for making this amp sound about as good as I could ever have dreamed!
And thanks to you guys for watching this video & for supporting Andertons over the last 50 years - it means a lot!
Cheers
Lee Anderton (aka The Captain!!)

Kinda really drives me nuts when people slam Joe. He's not a "real blues player" because he's never "experienced the blues." That's pretty lame. Sure he doesn't play blues, he plays blues-rock but he's still an absolute monster. People who like Joe go and see who inspired Joe and then older dudes like SRV, Gary Moore, and Johnny Winter get some new found love and I think that's what it's all about. Even if you don't like his music you can't deny he does what he does well. It may be pentatonic runs but he still plays em really clean. I respect that. And to the people who don't, I respect that to. I just wish people who didn't like him wouldn't dog on him just because they don't like him.
@MrSammy1776
@MrSammy1776 9 жыл бұрын
There is nothing wrong Pentatonic scales,people may play but to do it well is another thing.I just find that Joe does not effect me emotionally and to me that's what its REALLY about.Technically he's great but who wants to watch and hear idiot savant? I did not mean joe was an Idiot Savant. I do get more character and emotion from someone's music who has lived and suffered abit.This was well known before the 2000's. Like the imitation relics everyone buys now is because those people lived hard and played hard.
@pomod
@pomod 9 жыл бұрын
Thad White Joe's playing is just too ernest or something, He's good technically - like phenomenal really, but not really inspiring. He's a bit geeky, which is charming. I don't mind him but he's performing a genre, not really reinventing it.

Never mind the haters. If Joe were a heroin addict or a drunk, slobbering all over the guitar and slurring song lyrics THEN he would be really playing with feeling. For some people the lifestyle and image = talent and soul. He is a master and an awesome player, no reservations merited.

It just makes me happy to see people like Joe Bonamassa still being successful with blues music, considering that basically it is ancient music for the music industry. While there are pop and electronic artists selling millions, wonderful people like him are keeping the legacy alive. Keep it on, folks :)

@DeWittPotts
@DeWittPotts 7 жыл бұрын
At least a part of that tone and volume comes from the 'Beast'. That was a guitar owned by Paul Kossoff and the pickups (which are original) have a fairly high output. I have heard that guitar compared to other Les Pauls of the era and the Beast is noticeably louder.

DeWitt Potts The Beast was never Paul Kossoff's!!! Bernie Marsden, who was in Whitesnake, has owned the Beast since the mid 1970's. There is plenty of interviews on here where he plays it. One interview is actually where Lee Anderton went to Bernie's house and played it. Gibson also made a Collector's Choice model of the Beast. Not sure where you got that Kossoff owned it.

Latest update.... Just to answer a couple of recurring questions re this amp. 1. There are some left to order - just visit the Andertons site & you'll see when we run out! 2. We do ship world wide for a lot less than you might think - don't forget, this amp is designed to run on 220-240v mains, so if you live somewhere that runs on 110v (like the USA) you'll need to buy a step up mains transformer - they aren't expensive & we have suggested one in the amps description on our web site. 3. My own personal head & cab (serial no1) is on display at Andertons, so if you want to come & try it, you absolutely can!

OK - as of 7th Feb 2014, we have pre-sold exactly half (ie 100). First shipment arrives next week (all gone), 2nd shipment a week after that (all gone too), but 3rd shipment (around end of Feb) has availability. Hope all that makes sense!

I am super excited about this thing. It's my big impulse buy for 2014, I've seen this video a dozen times. I'm also suuuuper nervous, I really hope it arrives in good nick, sent all the way to NZ. I'm sure it'll be packed up nicely??

MrDrewseph Just out of interest, did you buy this amp? I would be interested to know, if you did buy one how she sounds and what guitar you are playing.

Scumbucker Minnesota. I got a Peavey JSX coming early next week. I'm currently the only band member. I've been thinking of band names. Red Zeppelin, Fat Lizzy, and Landsmith. Any of those sound good?

The great UNVEILING and oh by the way , we only made 200 and their already sold out !!! Bonamassa got a kick out of that ! (if we could only know what he was thinking as he reacted to that with his grin and shift of position in his chair)

Good for you, Captain. You've clearly put your heart and soul into this, and you've got to meet one of your heroes as a result. Nice to see one of the successes of British manufacture, as well.
