It was lovely to see two different situations where people needed a slight push by seeing homes that almost fit their briefs but required them to think hard and long about their priorities and the possibilities. Hurray for Kirstie's and Phil's wisdom. They did not tightly confine themselves to the request lists and had different takes on how the clients could be satisfied by exploring around the edges of their briefs.

Strange how people are affected by noise. I love it, I know I’m alive. I have planes flying over and the train line is a few hundred metres away, the other side of the fence. When I’m dead I will have as much peace and quiet as I could want.

@@fluffycat2993 i sympathise, I have family who don’t Ike noise. I got used to planes flying overhead, my eldest son is a pilot and started flying when he was fifteen. @@elenalatici9568 my eldest son is a captain for a national airline he has been flying since he was 15 we have sat at the end of endless runways since he was 2 years old, as soon as he was old enough we were paying for flying lessons and spent many hours watching him fly around and around. So planes hsvd been part of my life for 47 years and I grew up as the daughter of a railway man in the age of the steam trains which h ran 24 hours a day so I’m fortunate that noise doesn’t affect me at all..

very few victorian proeprties actually fall down... the cracks were about teh land they built on and foudnations and is quite normal,my very first home was such and I had a structural engineer monitor it for six months and we chain stitched the brickwork..no problem for years after and its still standing today 40 years on! It was almost derelict and I did all the decorating and installation of kitchen and bathroom... and had builders do the roof electric and plumbing... I had never done anything like it and it was my first home.... if I can do it am not sure why people are scared!

Yes, the possible damage to flooring that could ensue by wearing such heels. Having lived over thirty years in Japan where people are constantly aware of how their every action could affect others, this kind of behaviour now really stands out for me. Plus wouldn't you rather be comfortable than wanting to look good? I mean, Lisa was so beautiful and statuesque anyway, I'm sure she would still have looked stunning in flatties!!

@@vanessaruiz4705 True. However, it's pretty much the same as being picky regarding a partner in life. People are picky or not ready for as long as the right person or property comes along. Then the pickiness is gone. Lisa fell in love with a house which wasn't meeting some of their deal breaking requirements, such as location (distance from schools) and accommodation for her mom. But she loved the house and went for it anyways. It's emotional purchase for many if not most people. Regardless rationality. When choosing a home, that special feeling needs to be there. It's a forever home for them. The boys won't be at local school or any school forever, nor would they stay at parental home forever. Her mom just the same. They should and they ultimately did opted for the house that's their ideal forever home, because they are the ones who would be living there.
