I wonder if it wasn't so much foresight on their part about the player ships with the plasma weapon... I wonder if player ships aren't all considered frigates in the game code. Like we have names and titles on the ships, but for the purpose of the combat engine I wonder if player ships aren't all just generically "frigate". I'd be curious what the anti capital ship weapon does to ships classed as frigate in the combat log, though I'm not sure how you'd test that reliably.

Once I got the ship.... I flew it once or twice... Them moved on. Maybe the excitement of getting g a new ship has FINALLY worn off....... Sigh.....

For me, the issue is that there isn't much exciting content in which to use the ships. All of the ships are mostly the same with minor differences, the best part of a new ship is taking the trait/console and using them on a different ship (like how I showed using the trait on my SS3 Hydra).

and in regards to the exp weapon... they probably forgot to code it for players....

If it doesn't damage players, then they specifically put in the weapon configuration "regex: (not Charisplayer(Target))" so it was definitely intentional. The second part of the code would be to have another line without the "not" that applies a different amount of damage/effect against a player target, but they never put that in. There are other things that work in the game like this currently (like Entropic Redistribution boff ability).

@@noandroid5329 no counter has been released for Malicious AI though. Doesn't matter if dogfighter, sci, healer, any ship can use malicious, and it can't be countered - not sure how an "off meta" build would change that.
