Glad you gave Allie a second look. She will be the first to tell you she's not a rapper. On the other hand, she appears to like the challenge of testing her capabilities with different genres of music and often the most difficult songs. She's only 16, yet she's posted hundreds of cover performances plus a fair number of originals on her youtube channel since she and her dad started it several years ago. In addition to her obvious musical talents, her strong work ethic, generous nature, and pleasant personality have garnered her a loyal following of fans from across diverse generations and cultures.

Allie Sherlock is an Irish singer, guitarist, songwriter, and busker. A video of her performing a cover of Ed Sheeran's "Supermarket Flowers" went viral on KZbin in June 2017. She also plays the piano really good her dad was a singer played the guitar and taught her the guitar she started just after her mom died when she was 9. You can hear the pain in some of the songs she does amazingly she has done over 850 videos which her dad filmed. She has written a few herself just an all rounder raw talent.

Glad you gave Allie another shot. She has an amazing voice, and keep in mind she's 16. She and her dad drive up from Cork Ireland to Dublin every weekend so she can busk on grafton street. The video you mentioned is the only time she's tried to rap, as far as I know. Allie is progressing. Her vocal runs and phrasing are sophisticated and natural sounding. Recently she has become more soft and subtle in spots. This gives her belts more impact (which she's always been known for). Recording artists in studios can rarely do what Allie did here live on a Dublin street. Nowadays everything is Auto-Tuned. May as well have Robots sing the songs. 🤷‍♀

Love Allie. She seems to be willing to try anything in any style and will partner anybody. She's done a couple or so of raps and isn't phased in the least whether they're the best or not, she tries it out without needing to be perfect. She will produce great raps if she keeps doing them, because she's Allie Sherlock and not much is beyond her. Nice enjoyable reaction. Thanks. 😀

You should watch Allies version of Adele's Skyfall, it really shows off her vocal strengths, and don't forget that it's just Allie her guitar and amp with no effects, so pure raw talent, and performing out side in the Irish weather which is normally cold and damp.

You should check out Allie’s amazing cover of Adele’s Love is a game ! You’ll not only hear her soulful performance but you’ll feel it and see it too ! One other very important thing when ever you watch an Allie Sherlock street performance. There is no instrumental backing track,most of the time it’s just Allie’s beautiful guitar playing, that goes along with her beautiful rich raspy voice! Thanks for the reaction. I’m impressed by your insights. You stumbled on one of her best covers ever, and she has a lot of good ones. She is quite prolific and brave, and some of her covers miss. Certainly she is not a good rapper, lol. As a rule any posting she has with 2 million or more views will be very good, and she often adds her own twist and arrangements. Check out her acoustic cover of Beggin’(not the cover with her street band). Her best original is “Beneath the Dark” about her deceased mom. BTW I suspect most people in the crowd don’t know the song……I didn’t either. This is Ireland not Nashville!!
