I'll be brutally honest... I'd rather be paid well on an Allied warm body site and NOT be expected to go hands on as opposed to working for a smaller firm that'll force you to put yourself in danger for the same or lower pay. As far as I'm concerned. Unless there is serious reform of the industry at the federal level. Don't put yourself in harm's way. Observe and report. Collect paycheck. No need to make an easy job that much harder for no good reason.

It depends on the client. There is a night & day difference between performing security in a nightclub/pot shop rather than in a luxury hotel. Still, the most important muscle for a security officer is the brain.

As long as Guards stay healthy and aren't running out of breath after running 5 steps that's what should matter as well. I think this is crazy though because Security is supposed to prevent theft and protect the property but if thieves saw the Guards as weak, small pansy ones they won't be at all afraid or dismayed from committing crimes.

@shyryTsr2k That depends on so many factors. Sometimes, hiring a bad ass cocky guard can be way more a liability than a commodity. Plus, they're expensive.

@@timlenord1 Well yeah, some meatheads have more muscle than brains unfortunately but that's not the case for all. And if they receive proper training in deescalation tactics that wouldn't be an issue but relating to pay they get paid the same as everyone else... Idk what your experience has been however at my sites all guards got equal pay except the site supervisor of course

Allied needs to start hiring people who sleep on the job, have sloppy uniforms and appearance, not have their eyes on phone screens. Not being in uniform and distracted by their phones. As for the self defense training? No one should not take self defense training for security. But defensive tactics. There is a difference: Martial Arts are just that. Self- defense is to protect your self and get away. Defensive tactics are for controlling, arresting and subduing the opponent. While minimizing the injuries to officer and opponent Hand to hand combat is for military operations designed to kill the enemy.

I work for Securitas and watching this I'm more glad I do lmao. I go to the gym often and know Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and because of that I feel more confident in being able to approach and diffuse situations more effectively. I can not begin to imagine how it must feel for someone who's not active or doesn't know any self-defense techniques to have to approach drunk and/or disorderly individuals. Honestly I'd be afraid FOR them, a lot of people have mental health issues out in the world as well and you never know how someone may react. Such a dangerous position for him to take.

It's complete decimation, if it about looks and nothing else is what security is going to be in the future, they can have it, people like that who runs companies don't know nothing about being a true security officer, because they come in from the back door and think they know what they are talking about and never put on a uniform and really deal with people, rather work for a small agency and real security officers, burley like myself and looks can be deceiving that can get the job done and then some..

Tbh as a 5'4 145 lbs male I've had no issues with handling drunk/disorderly individuals. But I also trained in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu so that gives me some advantage at least. I see your point though.👍🏽

You should not have done away with the glow patches or the blow stickers or paint jobs that he had on all of his company vehicles his uniforms for this workers he should not have done that because now a lot of his patches are different and they look more like Securitas patches with a specific design I’m not even remotely kidding I’ve seen him especially on private news auditors channels KZbin channels to be exact because they choose to change uniform design 20% how are his workers going to be able to know what they are wearing turn off going to be able to go because uniforms 24 seven he’s not very smart when he does that going to owns covenant health care company and Cooper and covenant Harrison Hill into security to auditors have complained about it like why do you keep changing the uniforms or what do you keep changing previously they didn’t have the badges on but you were right they don’t always have the badges on them which doesn’t make a lot of sense.
