I would say wind hashira and snake hashira almost die in that moment when they approach infinity castle entrance. If biwa doesn't closed the entrance they would cerrianly stuck inside that dimension and face a bunch of demon or maybe one of three remain upper rank.

Sanemi is the second strongest of the hasiras! There is no way Sanemi is lower than Giyu. Kokushibou also testified that Stone hashira and Wind hashira are the strongest, and if they die, the other Demon slayer corps will easily fall. In retrospect, it is though. The reason KZbinrs react to it, is because the views (and therefore money) pours in. The anime is hard carried by ufotable who've basically given the DS name, its name, internationally. I've read the whole thing, and most critics are right, it is wildly overrated. By no means is it bad at all; it's a perfectly fine read, and pretty good watch (ufotable), but back in the day, there was this bizarre part of the manga community who swore it was *cough* "peak", and acted like it was an 11/10, which is beyond absurd. It's a solid 6 or 7/10. The voice actors and OST are absolutely phenomenal though. Most aspects are bang on average, including extremely trope-y characters, mediocre pacing, and an uninspired setting. Again, to reiterate, NOT bad, but bang on average. The plot, as you've stated, gets particularly scrutinized, because it's one of the few aspects that's below even average. I'm not a hater at all btw, just pointing out why so many people in the community get annoyed by the fandom. Some parts of the fandom act like it's comparable to things like Apothecary Diaries, Frieren, Berserk, Full Metal Alchemist, Slam Dunk, One Piece, Death Note, Code Geass, etc, at which point, I mentally check out.
