Actually Italy didn't had an anthem. Giovinezza is one of the main songs of fasc1st rule, but wasn't the anthem. There are also many fasc1st songs that can be considered as it, like "Faccetta nera" or "all'armi siam fascisti". At the time, the real one was the "Marcia d'Ordinanza" of the king, he was the italian leader but he gave to Mussolini too much power an then this one became the most important and known italian man during the ww2. After he was murd3red and in Italy was established a republic, the government chose "Il canto degli italiani" as national anthem

In nazi germany the oficial anthem it was Horst Wessel lied and the German Landlied was just a popular song that then became an unofficial anthem. At least my grandpa said so.

Where did you even get that info??? Alexander Alexandrov, the guy who composed the song was Russian. He was born in April 13, 1883 in the Plakhino, Ryazan Governorate, Russian Empire (pretty much next to Moscow). The 2 poets who wrote the lyrics for the song, Sergey Mikhalkov and El-Registan weren't Ukrainian either, Mikhalkov was Russian and Registan was Armenian.
