When thinking of a sniper, you imagine someone with a light, slender weapon designed to pick off enemies at a distance. So far, so good. But in Ukraine, they apparently thought, “We can do better than that!”. Witness this two-meter long, armor-piercing monstrosity. It’s a BFG 9000- except it’s for real. All this - and more - in the latest episode of Military Mind, presented by Jonasz Rewiński.

After 19 years since the beginning of the invasion of Iraq, has the West forgotten this war? The Iraq war is said to have resulted in 1 million deaths the difference is russia have weapons of mass destruction A message to the future generations never make russia feel threatened the difference between "looking dangerous" and "being dangerous".Russia describes military doctrine as defensive military doctrine. With regard to nuclear weapons specifically, Russia reserves the right to use nuclear weapons: in response to the use of nuclear and other types of weapons of mass destruction against it or its allies,in case of aggression against Russia with the use of conventional weapons when the very existence of the state is threatened Russia has the World's Largest Bomber As of 2022, the Federation of American Scientists estimates that Russia possesses 5,977 nuclear weapons, while the United States has 5,428; Russia and the U.S. each have about 1,600 active deployed strategic nuclear warheads. Russia has the most nuclear weapons of any country, at 6,257. Of these, 1,458 are active, meaning they are already deployed, 3,039 are available (can be deployed if needed) and 1,760 are retired (out of use and awaiting dismantlement How do Russian nuclear weapons compare to the rest of the world? Russia - 6,257 America 5,550 UK - 225 France - 290 China - 350 Israel - 90 Pakistan - 165 India - 156 North Korea - 40 When you tell the truth it's always gonna be controversial. Who have killed more people in last two decades ? America or Russia how many people have been killed and wounded in Iraq since the 2003 United States invasion. However, we know that between 184,382 and 207,156 civilians have died from direct war related violence caused by the U.S., its allies, the Iraqi military and police, and opposition forces from the time of the invasion through October 2019. The violent deaths of Iraqi civilians have occurred through aerial bombing, shelling, gunshots, suicide attacks, and fires started by bombing. Many civilians have also been injured. Because not all war-related deaths have been recorded accurately by the Iraqi government and the U.S.-led coalition, the numbers are likely much higher. Several estimates based on randomly selected household surveys place the total death count among Iraqis in the hundreds of thousands. Several times as many Iraqi civilians may have died as an indirect result of the war, due to damage to the systems that provide food, health care and clean drinking water, and as a result, illness, infectious diseases, and malnutrition that could otherwise have been avoided or treated. The war has compounded the ill effects of decades of harmful U.S. policy actions towards Iraq since the 1960s, including economic sanctions in the 1990s that were devastating for Iraqis. Despite more than $100 billion committed to aiding and reconstructing Iraq, many parts of the country still suffer from lack of access to clean drinking water and housing.

While l totally agree about the standard of training, I think you both have missed the real point. Russia cares even less about the prison recruits than about the others. They are there merely to absorb Ukrainian ammunition and time. If they die in Ukraine it just means no more housing them at state expense in prison in Russia. As for the promised payment, how do dead people prove where they are? There are already many intercepted phone calls from Russian soldiers who are in Ukraine but aren't getting battle pay (or whatever it's called) because they're listed as being IN Russia.

On hearing about the Ukraine invasion he said to his friend “You mean 50,000 Russians have been killed, 5000 armoured combat vehicles destroyed, 2000 tanks, 1300 artillery, 250 aircraft, 200 helicopters, and 15 ships and boats, including the Black Sea flagship!? And how about NATO losses?” His friend replied “They haven’t turned up yet!” -Chris Henderson from the other video. Very good point

The T-90 lost a track. That is why it was abandoned. There is a US company called Anzio Iron Works has a 20mm sniper rifle. They also make a 14.5mm. The 20mm AP round will go through 39mm of steel at 100m or 15mm at 600m.

@Mr.Himars I've heard about these things but how common do you think this happens? Do you know of any similar "trades" that've happened like this? Thats a serious bit of a kit so surely they'll find him? Can understand why since doubt about even getting payment in the Russian military is spewing, in the prisoner recruitment video as well they're not paying just simply releasing after 6 months of duty(aka survival)

@Mr.Himars You do if you throw a track while retreating. There are better pictures that show the left track was in front of the tank on the ground. They likely through it trying to back around trees to get away. I am just surprised they do not destroy all this stuff they have to abandon.

That call for getting a reward for the tank sound like farfetched, no need to break the chains if that was the reason. The Rusians were routing fast, so that mean they have no time to fix the chain and dragging it out would be a slow process if Ukrainians were behind targeting any moving vehicle. The Anzio 20mm rifle is almost useless tho, basically the only use if for defend a main building. The Alligator rifle has better characteristic overall.

In the late 1970s to early 1980s, I was taught to use the main persona; weapon of the British Army, the 7.62mm SLR. I heard that the bullets were lethal up to 3 miles but I was only able to consistently hit what I was aiming at to a few hundred metres. Every fact about the rifle in this article compares to that
@sararedfearn4691
@sararedfearn4691 Жыл бұрын
Hello Mr Wilson . I well remember the beloved SLR, (600m max). Do you remember that it could fire a Anti Tank Grenade ?. You fitted a Energa unit the barrel end . This unit held the AT Grenade and a flip up range sight. You also had to have 7.62 ballistic round to fire the Grenade. Point to note, never mix up your ammunition ! !. You can get more information using, You tube. Mr JR ex Inf.
@alexc4300
@alexc4300 Жыл бұрын
Section fire extended the SLR’s effective range out to 800m or so - basically everyone throws rounds at the target and someone will hit it by chance. But a 2m long rifle with a scope and bipod has far greater accuracy than the SLR, even before being wielded by a talented specialist. Longest confirmed sniper shot (Wikipedia) is nigh-on two miles, so can that be considered a sniper rifle’s effective range?
@wscottwatson
@wscottwatson Жыл бұрын
@@alexc4300 That was why I phrased my comment the way I did. The trouble with just throwing more rounds at something is that it's random, causes a need for more ammunition and it's so wasteful we might as well have been US troops!
