I thought that NBCs coverage, on all fronts, was very poorly done-even embarrassingly so. The interview of Allisen's mother was particularly tasteless. CBS does so much better.

Congratulations! great achievement! One thing bothered me during the interview..I’m a Korean and I think there was a Korean reporter who wanted to confirm that her mother is a Korean. This annoys me..Is this really important? I think she is just an American.
@mrjinkorea Жыл бұрын
Her mother is of Korean ancestry and her father is of Filipino ancestry. But yes, you're absolutely right. She's 100 percent American!

very simple and repeatable golf swing. It doesn't surprise me that she won. The female commentator on NBC was trying to critique/bash it while she was running away with the tournament. so obvious they wanted Charlie Hull to win. SMH Nice job...great win!
@mkwy8782 Жыл бұрын
I don't know about the wanting Hull to win but, as I have stated elsewhere, the coverage in general was very bad. Bad camera work, bad commentators and bad interviews and post match.

What's wrong with being proud and celebrating your ethnic origin? Respect the pride for everyone! Peace.
@SkankHuntForty2 Жыл бұрын
@mariavaresio34 What's wrong is that Filipinos will tout her ethnicity (instead of her skills) as if her achievement also confers some sort of status to them, whereas she should be touted for her talent as a golfer without the need to categorize her as anything else -- but if categorization is desired, anything other than "American" would be incorrect.
