I really do despise this "voice of a generation" shtick. It's just an older person who no longer understands "the youths" giving someone a medal for relating to people. The idea that any generation can be spoken for by one person (or one group of people) betrays a very shallow understanding of humanity.

she was joking. she was speaking very professionally about advocating for mental health and then allison made a joke and gaby jumped off of it. it's their brand of humor to go from eloquently correct topics into deprecating humor
