Things I'm Grateful For: 1. I left my toxic and extremely unhealthy job in healthcare. 2. I started an amazing new job in my field of study! I'm officially a librarian! 3. I rediscovered my love for crocheting amigurumi and crochet in general. 4. I've rediscovered my love of reading due to my new job. I've already read 16 books in 4 months! 5. I still have time to spend with my (elderly) parents. And I'm cherishing that time.

This is such a beautiful gratefulness list. 💛 I’m so, SO happy that you’re loving your new job as a librarian! I recently read “The Midnight Library” and there was an incredible line in it: “Librarians have knowledge. They guide you to the right books. The right worlds. They find the best places. Like soul-enhanced search engines.”

My father passed away this year suddenly and as a result, my developmentally disabled brother came into my care 24/7. It's been such a huge change for both of us, especially since we're still trying to wrap our heads around losing our father. But at the same time, my brother has grown so much through this, and we have him on the right medication now so he's doing so well and that's rewarding to see. I had to leave my job to take care of him, but that's given me a newfound motivation to make art. I even started a tiny youtube channel myself which is a huge step for me. I guess what I'm getting at, is even when things are really hard, the growth that comes from it is still real. Just because it came from something really dark doesn't mean the progress is any less. Thank you for making this video. I struggle with a lot of art videos lately just staying interested, but I really like your content 😊

I'm so, so sorry for your loss! I can't even begin to imagine how hard all of this must be to deal with. But I'm so glad you've gotten to spend more time with your brother and that he's doing well! Congratulations on starting your own KZbin channel!! That's absolutely amazing. 💛

Hi! I'm currently binge-watching your videos because I love your content. This video was exactly what I needed to hear right now. We're currently mid November and I just decided one week ago to start posting my art on social media after a year-long break. I've always dreamed of being a children book illustrator but the most daunting part for me was to...actually do the art that would eventually take me there. For me, this was the year I decided to press charges against the man who abused me for 7 years when I was just a child. Needless to say, it wasn't the happiest time of my life, and art took a back seat as I had to put my mental health first. Now I realize that I don't have to feel guilty for having been so "unproductive" this year, and that now that I'm feeling better, it's not too late to make art a priority in my life again ❤

Aww thank you so, so much!! I'm so glad you've been enjoying my videos. So, SO proud of you for seeking justice!! I know this must have a very hard year for you trying to deal with all of that, but I'm glad you gave your health top priority. I hope you begin to find joy in art again and jump full in on your dream of being an illustrator. Best of luck to you, friend!! 💛

I keep a dream journal myself to gather inspiration to maybe do a series of paintings on various dreams, I don’t get to write down as many as I’d like because they can be forgotten so fast, but I’m always glad when I do remember long enough to write. I think I might write down one dream a month on average but that’s okay.

Oooo that’s so cool!! That would be such a neat series of paintings. 💛

Here’s just a few things I’m grateful for: 1. Getting to see Taylor Swift live this year. Never expected that to happen! 2. Getting to have a summer job I genuinely loved. 3. Getting to know my brother in law and his sister better. 4. Getting to sing to my little sisters again after being separated. And 5. Getting my drivers license!

Changing goals can be scary, especially if we’ve put sooo much time to achieve some of them already. At the beginning of the year I was going to be a web developer, but in June I’ve realised I simply have to try to be an artist first. I’ve wanted that for a few years but it always seemed too unrealistic. So here I am, going in a completely different direction than it was planned in January 😂

So true!! I’m so excited that you’ve started your journey taking your art full-time, too! It’s definitely scary going in a different direction, but it’s such an incredible journey. Best of luck to you! 💛
