It is perfectly fine to keep butter on counter. Done it for years.. never any problems. My family can go through 1 stick pretty quickly though. So just leave out the amount you will use that week. ❤

I have kept the butter in a covered butter dish on the counter for years. It’s never gone bad. I recently got a butter bell, so that’s then new way we’re keeping it on the counter. 😊

If you like a bit of spicy food it is great to mix the spaghetti squash after roasting and getting the squash out of the skin with buffalo wing sauce, tomatoes, celery, perhaps some onion and drizzle over some ranch. Great with a piece of crusty bread.

Hi Allison! Thank you for your lovely video as always, loving the Valentine’s decor and your outfit is stunning 😍 I live in the UK and we keep our butter on the counter, mostly because our house temperature never gets above 18-20 degrees celsius - it does go bad faster than if you leave it in the fridge, but salted butter lasts longer on the counter as the salt keeps bacteria etc at bay for longer. If it gets really hot in the summer like it has for the last few years, we move it to the fridge so it doesn’t melt everywhere 😅

I always keep my butter dish full and on the counter. Everything else is waiting. It’s turn in the fridge. It only lasts a few days in my house (huge family) anyway and then it’s actually spreadable and soft.

Subscriber from the Uk here!! I always keep butter on the counter but only a small amount for a few days- it’s easy to spread and tastes better. I believe it lasts longer in the fridge though so I just top up the butter dish every few days!! Love your channel 💕

Try a butter bell. You change the water regularly and it helps it keep. I definitely prefer my butter out cause it is much softer and easier to use that way.

We have always kept it on the counter and it’s heavenly. I make sourdough so it’s just daily bread and butter haha I keep ones I’m not using in freezer and some in fridge then just rotate through!

I keep my butter out, it’s been fine. Shopping at Home Goods makes me nervous. The items on the shelf are precariously sitting there on those overloaded glass shelves. I’m afraid to break something! We have a butter dish like you do but we keep our butter in a butter crock. The water seals it so it doesn’t become rancid. But, we have kept our butter in the butter dish on the counter and it works fine! Just be careful not to keep it too close to the stove or you’ll find a butter puddle

If you have proper block butter than can go in one of those dishes you can keep on the counter, in the UK its cool though I don't know if in florida it would melt quickly in your heat more haha 😂❤ we don't have that issue in England! X

I always keep the butter in the fridge. You can just take out a small amount in the morning and put it in the butter dish, so it's ready to use throughout the day, and if you have any leftover, put it back in the fridge in the evening. Best of both worlds!

Have you ever roasted beets? Keep the skins and the roots on and rub them with Crisco. Place them in your baking dish and cover them with aluminum foil. Roast them at 400 degrees for 1.5 hours. And unfortunately you need to peel the skins off, we cut them into smaller pieces and keep them in the fridge, we reheat them to add them to our meals. The roasting brings out the sweetness in them. And we keep our butter out of the fridge. Enjoy your weekend!

Yes, it's true that butter tastes better when kept out of the fridge, but it spoils more easily. You have two options: either keep a small amount out while storing the rest in the fridge-just an estimate of what you use in a day, taking out a portion daily-or always keep it in the fridge and, when you need to soften it (without melting it completely), put it in the microwave on the defrost setting for 30 seconds, repeating as needed until it reaches the desired consistency.
