I bought this case a few years ago to put my stainless steel fasteners. Although the build quality is good, the problem I encountered was that the small washers tend to go under the yellow separations.

I picked up these cases at the 99cent store for $1.99 during xmas. The best organizers Ive found are in the fishing section of Walmart. Most of the brand they carry are made in the USA.

Hi there, I am living in Germany and never cam across that thing. So, thanks for showing! But I would never buy that. 1.: The latch with the hinges on the sides boggles me. Why would you want that to have like that? 2.: I just love removable containers a la Sortimo. There are enough off-brands out there. 3.: The handle seems to waste a lot of storage without a hinge. 4.: Never accidentally move one of these deviders the slightest. Afterwards you would need to sort your stuff again. But I love your reviews. Keep on showing them to us! Regards, Etna.

Until today I haven't found a box that works for (very) small parts and is OK in price. I help myself with some silicone and foam.

I use many of those (the biggest version) for everything small, from electronic parts, screws, to small tools. Not the best cases there are, they are clearly their budget line, the pro ones have single boxes inside, so you can rearrange everything quickly, and polycarbonate covers, but are way more expensive. These are great bang for the buck (at least over here in Germany, import prices can be far higher) if you need a lot of space for small stuff. The middle lock-slider is a great idea, many big boxes from other brands use extra locks, so you have to fiddle around way too much with those. One big problem, though: The little hook on the slider that actually keeps the lids closed breaks far too easily, and while it could be easily replaced, it's apparently impossible for Allit to provide spare parts, which, simply said, sucks. Sucks really badly, actually. I tried to contact them twice, never got any reaction from them. So, great boxes if you can get them cheap, but be prepared to throw the whole box away once you break this little, irreplaceable piece of plastic. Nice product, crappy service.

Plastic containers are usually made close to where they are sold, since they take a lot of volume to ship, and injection molding doesn't require a lot of labour... So yeah, probably made in europe

Pretty much. I manged to get a load of T-Boxxes and Workmos for 40% retail price, and that was still expensive. Regular price is crazy :/ Sorta-Case look like a good alternative for half the Sortimo price.

@@PlasticComplex they are pricey but there is finally a good online retailer that stays mostly competitive on pricing. They are about twice to cost of DeWalt tough system, but have much better organizers and in my opinion have been more durable. I've broken a few DeWalt already, just closing the lid

As much as I like (and buy) high quality tools, I actually prefer Harbor Freight's offering like this. It comes with little bins for each compartment, which are incredibly handy for moving them around, taking out to work with, reorganizing the bin, etc. When you get to the last few small parts in the bin (10-32 washers, for instance), you don't have to fiddle trying to get them out, just take out the bin and empty it into your hand. I like supporting smaller, less known companies that make quality products but I honestly prefer theirs.

First I thought these are made in israel like the Stanley and co storage cases but after some research I tend to believe they are made in china. Afaik Allit opened a couple of production sites in china a couple of years ago. edit: Never leave them in the bright sunlight. I had similar ones chewed up by UV(?) in no time. Also the heat of the sun deformes them rather quickly and makes them smell like death (chemical plastic odor)

The date code is when the molding tool was made, not the plastic parts which are formed with it. The hole is for a lock, it's not safe at all, but it provides some deterrence in the meaning of: It's not that easy to steal parts out of this box, you'll actually have to damage or destroy the box. No one will find it curious if a thief just opens the box and take out material on a construction site, but if he cuts the box open, that will cause curiosity on the other peoples walking arround there. The company is small to medium sized, round about 500 employees and they have vacant jobs in the production and are looking for apprentices for the production I think they make their products in Bad Kreuznach.They look for "Process technicians for plastic- and rubber technology, focused on molded parts" (translation).

nope the date code is not about the mould normaly its just an insert in the mould that you turn, on every production run, to the right position the insert is most of the times a fixed part with the months on it and a screw like movable arrow with the year on it that you turn so the tip of the arrow is facing the month you can look up opitz gmbh if you want do see what i mean sry had to correct you on this cause including my apprenticeship i was do exactly what allit is searching for for 5 years ;)

@@lexel90 Sometimes they make mistakes. Here in Germany blank firing gun mist have a type approval by the PTB. They test that you can't convert them firing live ammunition with standard tools. The manufacturer ERMA had a model called EGP 75, which was a clone of the famous Walther PPK. The actual number of the approval was PTB 69/2 (second version). Someone made a mistake and in the stamp in the moulding was PTB 96/2. This number was actually vacant at that time. Several were sold, now you can find in the list of the PTB the no. 96/2: "Look at 69/2".
