There is a problem with Knipex. They’re too big and start making a lot of mistakes. I bought some of their new tool designs and it’s just plastic garbage.

Thanks for this review. I agree with comments citing once the cutting edge is damaged, it's pretty much over for the tool. I'd go Knipex. I don't want to have to think about the hardness, or not, of the material I'm cutting.

HDPE does react with hydrocarbons. They can get through. Which are found in all oils that contain a solvent.

I have a similar "Made in West Germany" Bosch corded hammer drill (not SDS) which I picked up for peanuts. My father used to have the same model which performed brilliantly until he got jeweler's rouge in it and threw it away. 🤦 I disassembled my drill and replaced the dry grease, but it's kind of sluggish now - maybe it's a dirty contact. The carbon brushes were fine, but I forgot to clean the commutator, so I'll have to take it apart again sometime, which should increase the power. I'm not bothered by the surface scratches, they are part of its charm to me. I love these older German tools - they're built to last and tough as nails. All the best from bonnie Scotland.

Hello. Are any of these made of harder material than the original knipex? I'm disappointed with how soft the knipex is compared to my other tools like my old crescent. They're made of warm butter

great video, but these are often used for both cutting AND stripping of the wire's isolation. I would really like to see results for the stripping performance

Unlike many, or better, most oils on the market, Ballistol doesn't resinate in time. Meaning, it is not thickening and getting hard and crumbly like most. It stays a liquid. Best lubricant oil there is, except for brass and copper ofc. ^^

To me it rather looks like a nickel than a chrome finish. Electroplated nickel has a yellow tint and is far more ductile than chrome.

I'd say regardless of the larger capacity, the maintenance free nickel finish, thicker casting, and dipped handles make it my choice. I have a thing for top notch quality tools. Thanks to this videos Creator for explaining the differences so well. I am now a Suscriber. We all know how scarce intelligent people are getting nowadays ( obviously, smiles )

Klein and other manufacturers of this style stripper usually indicate that you actually are supposed to go 1 size down for stranded vs. solid wire.

All the wisdom i could have learned from you if i had found your page sooner.... i have sooooooo many questions that only you specifically seem to have ever even touched on and i cant ask you cuz im years late lol... like literally tryna figure out e.6 vs c.6 shank bits and the variables of each out there... and yes not to mention wera and alll the fucking billion different bit variations that they have out there... hex plus, ball end torx, toex hf, wedge torx, diamond coated vs carbide coated wiha flathead bits Genius tools with all there 6 inch long insert bits that put the odd random discontinued pb swiss specialty long insert bits to shame.... lol I just ended scouring the annals of KZbin tryna find the answer to a suuuuuuper specific answer on some obscure tool and its function and pf course the only person to even touch on the same subject is you.... and then i just quit searching and decided to write you a dear john comment lol.... But forreal, everyone whos anyone in this love for all things quality tools has maaad respect for what youve done, what you started, all the knowledge you imparted on us all (obviously years and years ahead of everyone else! lol haaa) over the years, and im sure everyone wishes you happiness and health and wealth. And just know if you ever decided to get back into this youtubing thing, youll start back up w the biggest following youve ever had, and will have more exposure than ever as sooooo many have tried and taken up the mantle of where you left off, and they all would see that your back and om sure would gladly pass on all their subscribers to you. Theres a whoooolllllleeee lot of new and wild stuff thas come out in the time since youve been gone, and to hear you give your piece on some of this newer stuff would make all of our days. (Though id bet if u did come back to thos channel, youd need like at least 8 months just handle all the years of backlogged comments and questions youve got lol) Now thats just me selfishly wishing for you to make a comeback, and as stated, id love it... but i understand and respect if your still rather choosing to leave it where it lies. Fuck,, i mean i am assuming so and surely hope so, but worse case this may fall on deaf (and dead) ears... life happens and w no checkups in how many years its at least safe to say its possible your not even w us anymore.. i hope not but if that is the case then god bless and god rest your soul. And regardless of which it is, thank you again and hope whenever you are your doing well. See you whenever n wherever i see you lol

I still read the comments. The door is always open to come back just don't have anytime time. Who knows, some day I might have some time to make videos, but it's been so long would be out of practice. I actually make around 10 videos sometime in 2020 that I never got around to releasing, hopefully I still have those somewhere.
