This is how great music should be played. The Allman Betts band sound like they have been playing forever. They surely have what it takes to make it big. Their parents would be so proud to see what they have accomplished for it is truly impressive. This style of music is much needed and greatly appreciated. Thank you to the Allman Betts band for your dedication to excellent music. I hope the younger generations see what good honest music sounds like. I do not want to put a label on what is great music. I want the music to speak for itself. This band is tight and precise but played with heart and soul. Thank you

I had a response from something that I commented on but I can't get back to the original post. Anyhow yes the Allman Brothers have been everywhere. In the 70's I saw them at a huge show at Lebanon Valley upstate NY. Also in the 70's Glens Falls Civic center. Again it was 3 day event. Conveniently the weather turned into a monsoon. I had a tent by the Champlain canal got totally swamped. Hitch hiking home got pulled over, searched and got a ticket for weed. $100 bucks done deal. The last time I was going to see them at the Indian lookout Country Club in Duanesburg NY. (The site for Harley Rendezvous) Apparently there were problems with money arrangement and they wouldn't go on stage. We had a big ass party in the parking lot. Sometimes it's rock and roll, sometimes it's the blues.

To me, the Allman brothers enter a portal with their music and uplifting vibe, help me through my grief listening to the transcendent music quality during the death of my little sister in a car accident in 1972; I also party out with them through the seventies, and graduated 1976 with Blue sky blaring in 1969 olds at a graduation party. Now it shows Allman brothers are electric guitars heaven that will live for generations to come. You see, the void is best to be in with the live shows, and Allman, Betts band, keeps it open wide. Thanks to this musical bloodline. With new songs and all. Thanks, sons of Greg and Dicky, for keeping natural rock alive started by your Dads. Now I am sixty-two, still rocking to the void of a love train, Elizabeth Reed, and high naturally.✌🤸‍♂️

Home grown here since 56, I don't remember the Crescent City fest other than mayhem on Bourbon st. maybe... but why they haven't been invited to the Jazz Fest as I remembered their fathers at there one of the probably best performances that I saw in the early 90's. If I hadn't heard, my bad,...though I was little to young to see them in the legendary Warehouse in the 60's during Duane. They tore that building down (new development and conditions etc.) in the early 80's where the best bands had performed such as Skynyrd 10 mos. + - before the plane crash that I attended in the early to mid 70's.

When I first heard of this band on the radio, I thought they were the Almond Bits Band, and went to a music store looking for their album...! When i was a kid, I went looking for an album by Steve E. Ravone. Didn't find that one either.

lol I can see that. I would have maybe looked for Stevie Rayvon. First time I shared a Bible verse at a fellowship, I thought Malachi was pronounced ma-lah-chee since I'm Italian and Jewish pronunciation was new to me. They all laughed.

A fine example of great musicianship from the offspring of great musicians, playing not just at the same time but together. These "kids" are honoring the music of their parents while at the same time finding the right members to channel that progression. Of course, Berry and Duane are at a very high level already. The "second" guitarist is first-rate. And the drummer shows flashes of Butch Truck's ability to enhance whatever the others are doing. Devon has found his voice and his place. Worthy of the names Allman-Betts.

An Allman Bros. Band reunion? With who everyone buy the two actual Allman brothers? Lol I mean Duane (of course), Gregg, Butch....they’re all’s dead sadly. Who’s reuniting? Sounds like a money grabber for the surviving guys.
@obbor4
@obbor4 4 жыл бұрын
@@michaelfleming8490 First, none of those guys are in need of money as they are already playing in successful bands, and second, if you don't count Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, and Oteil Burbridge as legitimate members of The Allman Brothers Band you no clue about the band or what they stood for. It was called The Allman Brothers BAND for a reason. Everyone who played with them was an equal and all parts equal the whole...
