I’ve been an ABB follower from the start and I’ve gotta say this is the Pinnacle of the band. Oteil on Bass and Derek is on a completely different plane of existence as a guitarist, Warren is on of the most proficient Musicians in the world. Round that out with the rest of the players and man!

Saw them open up with this at The Fox in Atlanta around this time. I was with my dad. He saw them at The Fox with the original lineup multiple times. I remember him saying "hey son, they are about to play Not My Cross to Bear, listen to this." Apparently they always played these two songs to open up at The Fox back in the day. Such an amazing live musical experience.

I don't think we, who have seen the ABB, with this line-up, actually appreciate the significance of this particular combination of musicians. I think in the years to come, people will look back at these guys as legendary! Of course Gregg was a legend in his own right, and of course we all dearly miss the original line-up (r.i.p., Duane and Berry)!!! Having Warren and Derek and Oteil (three freaking prodigies) in one band is a super profound combination! At the risk of sounding sacrilegious, I have to just lay it out here, that DEREK TRUCKS is the best player to ever have picked up a slide! (R.I.P. DUANE/BERRY/GREGG!!!)

Great lineup... Imagine Dicky Betts in the middle of these two great guitarists! Often at odds with Greg, he would come and go many times, and outlived most of the original band members.
