you can call blackbeard all the bad names in the world i'm with you, but we can't deny the fact that he is probably one of the smartest character in the show, he got everything he wanted according to his plan, beat ace and became warlord, waited that luffy wrecks impel down to recruit members for his crew, arrived at marineford at the end of the war and stole whitebeard power becoming one (if not the) strongest man in the world, then destroyed marineford easily with those new powers and left without losing to anyone, so the big winner in this arc it's not the whitebeard pirates who took the biggest L like you said, it's definitely not the marine with the new wave of pirates that whitebeard motivated by saying the one piece does exist, it's blackbeard by far, i hate the guy so freaking much but i have to say he is so viciously smart, he probably already knew how that was gonna go down when he crossed ace's path, hell he even probably had an idea of this plan when he killed thatch, stole the devil fruit from him and ran away from the whitebeard crew

His original idea was to take out a big named pirate to become a Shichibukai. Any big name would do. If he had known about Luffy, he would have been the target, but he got to the Knock-up stream before Blackbeard could get to him. Ace was just a happy little accident turned great opportunity. Probably didn't think about being a shichibukai until Luffy beat Crocodile. Though I am sure he knew that his success was predicated on getting the yami yami no mi. He studied everything he could about it. He sent Lafitte to put a bug in the government's ear about him joining up, so he did at least have the outline of what he wanted down for a while. Everything else was him taking cunning advantage of every opportunity that happened to pop up.

26:20 Well... how do they please themselves? Chances are the elder amazons or teachers would educate them. But like the Wonder Woman movie, we don't see them as a paradise island that lures men for sex and whatnot. Diana did explain to Steve Trevor that she had read all the works of human pleasure which implies amazons are sexually educated but they are primarily trained in combat. And Oda's backstory for Amazon Lily was that... the Kuja pirates are supposedly the only amazons to leave their home since Boa Hancock is a warlord, and she has to fulfill her obligation to the government by watching and protecting her territory. In the brief description when Luffy is first hurled there by Kuma, Oda wrote that occasionally or every now and then, an amazon would wander off the island and return pregnant. Which is one of the only few details that we have that implies several things. That they do love a man, could possibly be into sexual activities, raped, or innocent when it comes to being coerced by someone attracted to them. You did also say... "Unless they have each other for that." Which also makes sense that some of the Amazon population could be or might be lesbian. I remember reading a fantasy book series a while back. Maybe I can find it but... the main character and his party get captured by a clan of female druids. When they are freed after a bargaining session, the main character asks his aunt who is a powerful and wise witch why he doesn't see any male druids. She simply responds with this line. "There are no male druids." "But then how do they...?" "They catch males for that."

Remember, the Marines only put out the information that makes them look good. To the average civilian, the Marines are the heroes. 90% of pirates aren't men and women of high morals like Whitebeard and Shanks. And what the Marines aren't telling, is that Whitebeard just trolled the world the same way Roger did. He just shot an extra dose of drive and adrenaline into every treasure hungry pirate on earth by confirming that One Piece exists. Killing Whitebeard took him out the game, but it awakened who knows how many new, wild elements that the Marines aren't fully prepared for. So the question is, was it worth it?

It was good to see Shanks again and I'm hoping they'll take down Blackbeard at some point. But Boa definitely made one hell of a sacrifice and this also puts a target on her back. Coby probably will master Haki but either way I hope we can get past everything that happened. Especially since Luffy still has to locate Sanji and the others. But at least Luffy has Jinbei by his side. I thought we would've seen Jinbei hug Luffy at the end to comfort him a little bit. Anyway another great reaction and sorry for checking it out so late.
