Formula of love is a masterpiece full album if you really want to see the breadth of their diversity. Debut to 2018 are their cuter brighter title tracks while 2019 on is much more mature but still happy feel good

for like “emo” twice you might be looking for like Cry for Me and Perfect World. They’re not emo exactly but they’re like a tougher version of twice (Perfect World) and a bit more emotionally charged in Cry for Me. Last Waltz, which is on the same album as THE FEELS, is also a bit tougher and sexier.

Twice is my ultimate group, like you they’re just a happy pill for me. I also think a guide would help you a lot because half of what makes them special is their amazing personalities. The Killing Voice is a great way to start a journey with a group because it gives a little sense of what their most popular tracks are and it really is a small snippet of each song maybe 30-45 seconds each. I liken it to movie trailers in a way, but that’s just me. As for an album, I’m biased because it’s my first Twice album but between 1 & 2 is an amazing album

I think you should watch a guide first! It will help you enjoy everything more. I recommend "A HELPFUL GUIDE TO TWICE 2024" or the 2022 version. Some people prefer the 2022 guide, so pick whichever you feel like. Despite some parts being weirdly edited, they're the best guides for the members. After that, I suggest watching "Who Is TWICE? (A Dive into the Living Legends) 2024" because it focuses more on the group as a whole and less on individual members. Together, they give a complete picture. For the Killing Voice reaction, IMO (I think a lot of people would think otherwise and that's okay), I think it's better to react to the MVs first so you'll know the lyrics and get more excited to hear them live. It's probably the most recommended and is a lot of people's favorite-it's really good. You asked if they always do happy songs-they don't. I recommend watching the "Feel Special" MV. The song isn't "sad," but the lyrics are very deep, inspired by the members' personal experiences and struggles. During a tough period, they felt supported by each other and their fans, ONCE. This sense of support and gratitude is central to the song's message. Park Jin-young (JYP), the founder of JYP Entertainment, wrote the lyrics after conversations with TWICE members about their struggles and what made them feel special. During the production and release of "Feel Special," Mina was going through a challenging time due to her anxiety disorder, which impacted her ability to participate in group activities. Despite this, she made a special effort to participate in the MV, making it very special to ONCE. TWICE also has very sad songs, mostly B-sides, that you'll hear if you dive deeper into their discography and albums. I also recommend starting their shows on Patreon, maybe from the start with their survival show "Sixteen" to see how they got where they are. I love Twice. I've been a Once (their fan group) since the first time I watched Sixteen (the show that formed Twice). They aren't my favorite group; that's Red Velvet. But I listen to Twice often, and they never fail to put me in a good mood. You probably haven't heard a lot of manufactured buzz about them in Kpop media because (1) there's nothing remotely controversial about Twice, and (2) they have been around for so long and have been so successful, their company does not have to work that hard to get attention for them. They are just masters at their craft. They will be hitting home runs as long as they want to stay in the game.

I also fell for this groups catchy and feel good music a while ago. They have gotten older and their music has matured but still keeping that sound they are known for. I have seen them in concert several times and their shows is really well done and very enjoyable. Thanks for your reaction.

I love your reaction so much. Other reactors watch them with prejudice that twice is all about cutesy but twice is all genres. Non fans are stuck to twice in 2016-2017 when theyre still teens. Stanning them is like the best decision ever.

To touch on some of your more general thoughts: * The reason you don't hear about Twice as much currently isn't because they're underrated in any way, it's probably just because they're in the "cooling off" elder-statesmen period of their career. They've been around for 9 years, during which talk about them was inescapable for most of the earlier part of that. * Along the same lines, the definition of quintessential K-Pop has simply changed over time. When Twice was huge, this was what a lot of people thought of when they hear about K-Pop-- Pure bubbly Seratonin injected straight into your veins. Nowadays, it's more about feeling cool/badass, hip-hop style. I personally prefer the former.

you might like the albums called "formula of love" or "ready to be" or "eyes wide open" or "zone" by jihyo or "na" by nayeon. But older albums may not be to your liking because of their "cute" concepts.

Twice is my favorite group! Their live performances and concerts are amazing! My favorite album is the formula of love, you should definitely react to it. Also I know KZbin isn't a fan of reacting to Japanese MVs but you should check out some of their Japanese tracks like better, fake and true, breakthrough, and perfect world!

i am loving the twice reaction, they are ult group, and as you have said they just make you feel so happy with the music it’s so always feel good music🥰, I think you will love them more when getting to know them because they are so humble and genuine but absolute chaos when together for reality shows (Time to twice is their own show they have many different concepts and shoots and absolute fun to watch, you get to see their personalities more too)

DITTO, she's the lead vocalist and you need to hear it ASAP, it's TRENDING everywhere so get $ome views! PS, it's her 2nd solo, her first in 2022 ("Pop") netted her the biggest selling solo artist in K pop that year, and very "Pure K pop" like you mentioned, whereas ABCD smacks of mesmerizing R&B + mega pop from the Y2K era. Both are incredibly good, could do each on 1 reaction; otherwise, ONCE will tell you to react to Pop in the comments about a 1,000 times or so lol.~

Ok first they do have some songs with very hard hitting lyrics but you will never know it unless you read them because they are pure serotonin they will always make you feel good. The funny thing is that this song is their first all English single released into the western market so not actually kpop. I would say that yes you should do a guide and I would say do that next I would recommend "a helpful guide to Twice 2024" not 2022 much more updated or the best is "who is Twice (a dive into the living legends)" by jaytzuu this will give you lots of info about Twice. As to an album I think you should go back to the debut called "The Story Begins" a good introduction into Twice and Kpop but in all honesty any of there albums are bops so it doesn't matter. OT9 forever (TIMELESS).

I'd definitely recommend exposing yourself to the guides (to help you actually recognize and differentiate between the members' distinct roles/tones/tendencies) before diving into full albums. I feel like the Killing Voice is a bit of a shortcut/secret weapon for winning over people who are on the fence (it gives you a bit of everything, including helping notice the differences/charms between the members' vibes, as well as their chronological evolution, which you're not getting from watching these MVs out of order). But if you're already won over and committed to doing everything anyways, there are arguments in both directions, I think. I think maybe Guide(s) -> Killing Voice -> MVs -> Albums/Variety content. This would at least give you maximum appreciation of the songs themselves, I would think (when you know who's singing what, and what their strengths/weaknesses are, it really helps).

Thanks for the reaction! If you're gonna do a guide, Who Is TWICE? (A Dive into the Living Legends) 2024 by Jaytzu is probably the best available since it also tells their story to new fans. If you're curious about an album Formula of Love (full album) or Between 1 and 2 (mini album) would be great starts. Doing a Killing voice reactions wouldn't spoil their songs imo.
