Quite good explanation bro.. very nice keep it up. I've a doubt in the above example. You have taken the Yield stress of Steel in tension/Shear in calculating the Area required, why haven't u taken the F.O.S in calculating the allowable load?

Maybe because he already referenced his calculations based on the "allowable" stress, which already considered F.O.S.
