Amazing video and information. The only thing I’m stuck here wondering why didn’t you tell us the foot pound for 9 and 10 just like you did for the rest of the bolts which you told us the degree and ft lbs

@@jorge56188 I’ll be purchasing another LS soon and will be doing a complete video series over the entire build no matter how small the detail I’ll make sure I put all the info in the next video.

What was the final torque spec on bolt 9 and 10 in ftlb

Once the final passes complete, is there a final torque spec that should be equal across all bolts?
@3rdGenC10sАй бұрын
The final torque is degree it’s not a set number unless using ARP fasteners. Since they are torque to yield with the final passes being in degrees the torque will vary from bolt to bolt but be within a few pounds of each other.

Thanks for this, much appreciated. Are the bolts 11-15 all the same size?

Yes

Do you have to use the angle part?
@3rdGenC10s Жыл бұрын
With the TTY bolts yes. You can buy ARP bolts that are just a torque spec only.
I have a 2019 Chevy Silverado. It has a black hex bolt in the front of the cylinder head driver side. What are the torque specs on this? The first degree should be 90 and the last should be 50 because it’s shorter

You have to purchase one specifically for angles not all torque wrenches have it.

I bought a Durofix 1/2" ANGLE digital torque adapter. $85 on Ebay. For use with existing 1/2" breaker bar. Just doing one 2003 LS engine. Positive reviews. Maybe upgrade if I get totally bitten by the LS bug. 1982 Volvo LS swap. Thanks for the well done Video.
