Great video mate, this is a beautiful part . I haven't built mine yet until I get the shock towers to. I found another kyosho beetle that was in stock this time . This company will do well with the quality of their parts . Makes me think how many cars are sitting because of the broken G11 part. This will never break, I've got so many to build now and the wife orders the Dump truck. They do look like fun though, thanks for the video mate and I did end up using a 10.5 turn in the Dark impact. Heard bad things about the diffs in those .

Haha, who can pass up a Beetle. 😁 I really hope they do well, will be great to RC parts being made locally for a change. Yeah those dump trucks do look fun, haha you better get building mate! The Dark Impact should be fun with the 10.5. I've not heard about the diffs being bad, but I don't have one so can't really say either. Fingers crossed! Have a great weekend mate! 👍

They should do a front bulk head part, Ive got the Pargu one but doesn't have the body mount bit so not ideal.

Haha should be a "beauty"! lol. Yours runs well and survived, I've not run mine yet will get to it soon. Yeah they're a common weak spot on the Vanquish/VQS. I think a lot of it could be due to the age of the Vanquish though, I think a VQS should last a while in standard form. 👍

@@RCHobbyShed I think Gavin from RCKicks mentioned the VQS is using a different plastic than the original Vanquish did so the new cars might not have the same issue with breakage. Can't hurt having an unbreakable part in there though and like another said, it will provide a solid base for the rear tower and also help out those with vintage cars and broken G11s

Nice. What's the purpose of that alloy part? Strength and rigidity?

It's for both strength and rigidity. The main reason for it is that the G11 part is prone to breaking. 👍

I really don't understand why people have gone with extremely hard to get Avante parts on other versions of this part, it really only needs a few simple spacers, the dimensions of which are not even very critical. Even the part shown here could be made from a simple profile cut (routed) plate with a few spacers; nothing wrong with machining from billet, just a lot more expensive than necessary.

I see what you're saying. I know I mentioned the alloy uprights, but they're only need if using the carbon shock tower but most seem to go with both. It really only needs the spacer for the rear arms and bumper mount. I guess a lot of people would just rather buy the parts needed to make it work. I suppose too, a lot of people don't have access to the tools/machinery or even the skills to make their own.

I'm really not sure about that. I'm guessing as long as you don't print Tamiya or something on it you should be fine.

Its the equivalent of upgrading say a Holden Commodore with better brakes and suspension. The manufacturer has no interest unless the modifications fail and causes the car to be unsafe to drive.

I have the G11 part from rcevologic, as well as the extended G5, and the G6, based on your recommendations. I also have all of the aluminum bits from xtra speed, and the front and rear knuckles from Yeah Racing, again, based on your recommendation. I'm still waiting on a few bearings to replace the bushings in the differentials, so I have yet to turn a single screw on my VQS. But I have to ask...why did you get rid of the beard?? It made you look pretty butch.

Good stuff, Matt! Your VQS will be a beast when it's finished. Haha, the beard... Yeah, my new job is working in a food factory so the beard had to go. It was just easier than trying to tie it up to put under a beard snood.

@@RCHobbyShed Ah yes...food service. Hair is the enemy. I also just picked up a 4000kv brushless motor/esc combo for it, and I'm switching everything over to 3S Lipo packs. That will give me nearly 45K rpm in the VQS, it's going to be stupid fast, maybe too fast at full throttle, we'll see. I have a set of decals coming from MCI, custom gold to match the shock uprights and springs on my hi-cap Tamiya shock set, which cost a mint since they're disco'd. Yeah Racing Gold five spoke wheels will finish it off, and I have special plans for my driver. :) He's going to be a beast. Let's just say that he won't be human. Do you have an email link where I can send you the finished pics? Your videos have been integral to this car and the bits that I've picked up for it.
