Don't understand how 5 kg affects mileage since cars weighs atleast 1000 kg and percentage wise it is 0.005% ... can't be vague by saying alloy wheels mileage accha deti hai... I mean like how???? 0.005 ke difference se ??

Because of inertia. You have to spin that mass every time you accelerate. Spun weight around the circumference accounts for approximately 3x the weight of the normal sprung mass you carry on the car. So 5 kilos per wheel is like carrying an extra 60 kg person all the time when it comes to acceleration. Not to mention the bump absorption. Because of inertia that 5 kg (at the circumference) will hit like ~15 kg on a bump. Add a stiff low profile tyre on top of that and you're in for a shaky ride. :)

To get best milega, modulate acceleration pressing up and down in every 10 -15 sec with speed range of 10 -15km difference. E.g, if u drive at 80 km , leave acceleration paddle at 90km and press when reaching to 70 km. This step will make ur RPM at 2k for 80km and u will get mileage of 19 to 20kmpl. I get this mileage in my i20 elite ASTA 2018 (bs4). M sure for bs6 it will increase more in 2021. Practice of 1 week will help to be efficient and effective driving style.

Mine swift mileage with 165 80 r 14 steel rim is 18 in city 21 on highway with ac.. and with 205 50 r 16 alloy wheel is 14 in city and 17 on highway with 35 pound air in both type rims tyres

It's your mistake to install 16 inch in entry level car 16inch is for suvs or subcompact suvs which bave ground clearance of 180+

i20 sportz steel wheel with 195 55 16 tyres weighs 18.6 kgs. And spare steel 15 " wheel 185 65 15 weighs 15 kgs. But thanks for the video very informative that the i20 alloy weighs as much as 17.9 kg. Also could you show the removal and refitting TPMS sensors in wheel if possible. Like if you need to change rim.

I have new i20 2020 sports with R16 steel rim given milage of 14 to in Delhi at average speed of 55-60 Km/ hours with single person. It is best Car.

Utna hi deti hai bro... Meri v max 13 deti hai in city...Wo v AC efficiently chalane par.. Max AC chala do toh 10 pe drop ho jaati hai..without AC chaloao toh 15 aaram se de degi.. Toh agr with AC best results chaiye toh 24 mein AC rkho and fan speed 1 ya 2 pe...Aur gaadi thodi chala k AC on kia kro..mileage has always been an issue with i20 but this model got slightly better that previous generations..

if you're looking for real world data on steel vs alloy wheel weights, surprisingly little information is available. I had to watch a video in a language I don't understand, just to see someone putting their wheels on a scale. I was looking for this info, because I'm looking to downgrade the OEM diamond cut 17" alloys on my Citroen to a 15" steel and I expect to upgrade the ride comfort significantly. There are no sources on how much each wheel would weigh, just a vague estimation. I'm hoping for a 20% weight save.
