i think the only reason they didn’t give the cicada a -2 turn rating is bc then it would be the exact same numbers as the sting. those two discs have identical flights and almost the same exact feel. the cicada feels so redundant in discraft’s lineup with the sting already in existence.

I only have one sting and one cicada so not a large sample size but my sting is much more understable than my cicada. Also very different hand feel, the sting is narrow rimmed and feels like a leopard, the cicada has a larger rim and feels more like an eagle.

I have had a passion but just could not get on with it. Sadly the lightweight range we were promised has not materialised, or has not in numbers so have had to settle with just under 170g. I have stuck to my river. So much more in line with the flight numbers, whereas the passion just was so overstable in comparison. My husband now bags it and uses it for forehands. I am a little wary now of any new disc that comes out from discraft which is being touted by the pro whose name is on it - but you do not see throw it. (Hades also comes to mind).

I have both crave and cicada...cicada I have is in esp not the plastic they are throwing in the video. Its a little more beefy than the clear. I feel the cicada is very similar maybe a bit longer. And mine only goes left at the tail end of its flight. Haven't had it long enough to know if I like it better than the crave yet.
