Holyn, I think you are hands down the best at understanding and explaining the training process, and I appreciate all the content you put out! From Power Disc golf which helped me tremendously, to this video, it is all top notch!! I Look forward to your 2025 season, and hope it is your best season yet and many more to come! Keep it up 😊

I'm working on my nose angle and the tip on the nose angle when the wrist is curled is really helpful!

It's really impressive the way you approach your training. The few Power DGA videos of yours have helped my game. You have a really great way of just breaking it all down so that I can understand ways I can improve as well.

i agree with mid loaded grip and back loaded grip are critical. Thats helped me a ton as well! Its also way easier to throw putters this way

11:54 is not nose down, this will save you form work time, if you try it. You are not throwing leftwards from the screen's POV, so tilting the disc that way isn't nose down. Nose down is in the direction the back of your hand is facing since the wrist starts to uncurl and then the disc pivots and snaps out in that direction. To tilt it nose down in that actual throwing direction requires external shoulder rotation + supination on the way out of the pocket and through the hit. It works so well that I can throw 68 mph at -20 nose and + 20 launch angle, and extremely nose down with basically any grip, grip pressure changes, 1,2,3,4 fingers, whatever. External rotation on the way out of the pocket won't mess up your pocket since you are already passed the pocket phase, so you can still internally rotate the shoulder for the pocket.

This is why James Proctor throws the opposite of nose up air bounces, his throws rise up fast then look like they hit an invisible ceiling due to being very nose down (-8 on a few tech disc throws). He exaggerates the nose down tilting motion on the way out of the pocket a lot, so it makes it very easy to see: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l3q9fKKvgNGNndU

@ I have many videos with the TechDisc demonstrating it more simply if you want to see. One of them called “the simplicity of nose angle“ Swooping also doesn’t directly cause nose up, my -20 no angle 68 mph throw was done with a big swoop (while testing swooping). There is a high correlation, though between people who throw nose up and people who swoop and learning to not swoop does often help people improve nose angle, it’s just not for the common reasons you hear. It’s fairly common knowledge as to how to throw a nose up, air bounce, the way that you tilt the disc into the hit is often described as push the disc down with your thumb (pronation) and so the opposite of that is not pour the tea, it’s supination.

High stress putt training: Get Ella, Raven, Gannon, Aldon and the crew together, feed them all way too much caffeine and give them party poppers while you putt.... ;)
