I loved Spike and Anya. Two creatures in a shadowy in-between status, no longer monsters but not fully accepted by humans either, sharing a bit of cold comfort.

@@sandalwhich Yes and I think this rapprochement had been planned for a long time because it looks quite similar to their moment two years earlier ep 4x18. And Anya will try to reproduce it season 7 but Spike will throw her out lol.

Spike and Anya really had some fun chemistry and I like to imagine that in a hundred years when all their human friends are dead they just hang out together. Xander and Buffy were in the wrong for what happens next and I do wish someone would force Xander to see how fucking awful he is basically anything that didn’t fit his world view.
