Brilliant!!!! Well done for everyone involved and for OP you definitely give bards a good name. I've always wanted to roleplay a bard like this but have never had the chance to.

I think you missed that OP is the rogue's player and not the the bard's

It's always nice to see the DM enjoying something so much along with the players that they basically just say fuck it and let the players reroll some stuff that would ruin things.

I'm proud to say I too ran my bard like a proper bard. It was a running joke in the group, even, that the prettiest member of the party was also the most innocent and prudish; when things got "heavy" with other characters, mine would blush like mad and come up with an excuse to exit stage right as quickly as possible. When it came time to persuade and bedazzle, however, my bard stepped right up and made everyone proud.

In my current campaign, we had a session where two of the players butchered a whole village while myself (monk) and the paladin tried to stop them. It resulted in very heated "discussions" in game and out. I suspect one of the players was bored of all the negotiations with the locals and wanted some action, but his official reason was he and the other player (dragon born and lizard folk) were insulted by the locals (slip of the tongue of behalf of the DM I think). We all rolled with it and by next session we had worked everything into the story. Paladin and I had secretly written back to officials in the big city telling of the massacre and were told to stay with the party and hand them in when we get a chance (none of the other players know about this). We can't go anywhere near that town now. That was a year ago. So far we have not had a chance to hand them in, but we are waiting. That will be a very interesting session. Because of the players and DM, this conflict worked out ok. It was annoying at the time because my Monk was rolling really high on persuading the locals to co-operate and that was all undone by the dragon born.

I love All Things D&D, but I have noticed a decline in the quality of recording. There’s always rereading of lines or stumbling over them, what happened to taking your time to read the script? Even just having one more take on a misread/reread would bring the quality back up to where it was. It’s not a time consuming process to reread either, just stop recording, get the line right, then record again and put it all together in editing.

I was thinking about reenacting this play in FFXIV. XD Seriously, you can't make this sh** up. Sadly, the NPCs they were supposed to rescue died anyways. Oh well, c'est la vie. :(

I had to mute half of this because of how cringe it was. Still awesome, though. By the way, you were using a super masculine voice for the drider; driders may be genderless, but they were originally failed priestesses of Lolth, so driders are technically female. Also, why were you putting so much emphasis on "the" whenever you say "the bard".
