You just reminded me! Growing up, staying at my Mamaw and Papaws, she’d microwave me a baked potato for lunch. I’d either put chili and cheese on top, or imitation bacon bits and cheese. It was my favorite thing to eat at Mamaw’s for a long time! You just brought back so many memories.

Numbers nerd at it again $25/ 25 meals equals $1.00 per meal or $.25/ portion - OMG THAT IS INCREDIBLE ! The on l y way it could be better is if everything was free ! Good job ! To bulk up the Potato Chili meal, you could use 1/2 the No Bean Chili & 1/2 the Bean Chili which then leaves a second half of both cans for another meal. That combo would make a more filling potato meal and the jalapeños would flavor it.

I just wanted to say what a great video of us was and to thank you for the link to the meal plans and the grocery lists. I don’t personally need it because I live alone and basically cook one thing on the weekend it feeds me for a week, but this is so kind of you and so generous. I appreciate there are other budget channels on KZbin and don’t begrudge them the right to earn an income but really the people that need it most can’t afford to pay for something like this. My husband is Hispanic. I say that only to let you know I have experience buying Hispanic food. Most of the time, my husband prefers for me to cook our own Pinto, black, and mayocoba beans from a dry bean state. However, that can take a minimum of 2 hours to cook. We have some form of beans with every meal, and when we don't have time to cook dry beans, we cook the la costena beans. They have a much better flavor than any other form of can beans & they are resonably cheap. It's crazy, if you add a piece of onion & a clove of garlic it tastes close to dry beans.dont buy the refried beans. Buy the beans & refry them yourself. 😊

Your potato and bean taco is literally my favorite breakfast. A great budget friendly tip is to make your own flour tortillas. They are just flour, water, some fat, salt, and some people use baking powder too. A 2 lb. bag of Great Value flour is only $1.16 and you could probably get a good 20 tortillas from that.

Velveeta cheese sauce from Dollar Tree with imitation bacon bits taste good as does the Velveeta Cheese Sauce and steamed broccoli are real good. My personal favorite is a can of either vegetarian baked beans or an egg stirred up to blend white and yellow and microwave about 1 minute is good. If you bake potatoes in the oven, break egg into potato last 10 minutes.
