You could also do a whole video on how broken 1.0 purple gear is. It’s basically = to 2.0 gold gear. Those that kept purple as 1.0 can make an argument for being stronger than 2.0 gold.

I sold all my purple gear for gold bars and item vouchers. I don’t regret it. I kept 2 purple pieces to complete a set on 1 commander and that’s it. I don’t regret it at all. I was not a crazy spender in 1.0 so I really only have enough gold gear to run 1 strong formation. Purple gear in 2.0 is worthless. I haven’t regretted it at all. Gold gear with 1 star is stronger than 90% of max purple gear. 1.0 gear was so much better imo but there were certain pieces that were overpowered (frenzy, discord, aegis). The devs could make 2.0 really fun but they aren’t going to. 2.0 is a trash heap and it’s clear the devs don’t care about the players. They got their money in the first 2yrs and they missed out on their China cash cow so they’re killing the game. NetEase wants to move on to another game so they are killing this game so they don’t have to support it any more. It costs money to run servers and they want to use them for their next money maker. “Not spending” anymore in the game won’t change anything. They don’t care anymore. Hence all the HORRIBLE updates that NO ONE is asking for

I mean I stills use most of my classic gear and its really good, i have managed to have even matches against commanders in fully maxed gold gear although if they are a true whale with zenith commanders and the best gear on them then its useless. I have slowly updated my old gear aswell as long as its incomplete and from what i noticed a full set of maxed gear with the same effect is much better then then half completed purple gear but i still believe that we should have the ability to update equipment fragments so i no longer have 9 classic gold weapons THAT I CANT USE!!!

I've got a bunch of 1.0 gear, I still think it should go away. It creates significant imbalance. I doubt they'll phase it away - they intentionally let us keep it. Getting rid of it now would publicly admit that they made a mistake - which our devs don't do.... Obviously.

Playing RP rated well for several seasons, I found it unfair that the alchemists broke the ramparts easily and in very few hits, and the good had no equivalent and certain groups had kept 1.0 accessories which were even more unfair. So yes we had to review that, but when he applies it it's worse!!! They change the value, which has become incomprehensible, and even longer, a crossing of a million usually, it took us a day to get to the end... it's unthinkable, they would play with their game it would be realized that it's too complicated, not logical regarding the quantity of troops, this system of letters incomprehensible and impossible to see the end... Sometimes I have the impression that they are doing everything to make us abandon the game, and that will be the case for me, it's one too many updates, which makes no sense, there are much more serious things to improve and simplify.

I dont mind the new siege amounts as I believe in game the siege itself has been significantly reduced. I read somewhere DG is now like 650k or something. As for classic gear i would imagine it was kept to try to get around many law suits and because people moaned about how precious to them their frenzy hammer was. 2.0 gear still outweighs 1.0 gear if you are a mid range spender. if you are on the low end or ftp 1.0 gear outweighs it. take the chest piece for sauron as an example with initiative in 1.0 gear. with sets and best in slot initiative items you go beyond the value of anything the 1.0 item can give you with the 2.0 options.

The issue is commander HP in 2.0 isn’t that good. 1.0 gear has better unique skills but you lose the use of command and HP. Damage dealers don’t need command so who cares about that. And HP is useless so 1.0 gear if you got it wins

With the switch to RtW 2.0 not only did the devs change the item abilities and took away Frenzy, Discord and similar traits, but they also downgraded purple gear so that its now way weaker than before. Where before 5 star purple roughly had the stats of 3 star golden gear its now comparable to 1 star golden gear. So I'd be fine with my classic purple gear getting converted to new gear if it retained stats of similar power as before. What I don't like is getting purple gear that gets kind of worthless in the conversion process. And that is what happened with the purple gear that got converted to RtW 2.0 stats. All that purple gear totally lost its value and is now only crap compared to the gold gear. So I'm glad I didn't convert all the old gear and thus still have some purple gear that is useful.

@@I_Am_Bowi why are you acting like any new players stand a chance regardless of whether classic gear is good or not. the myth of new RTW players needs to die they basically don't exist and will never be competitive anyways because of how much of an advantage older players have on gear and respect levels. especially since you need to field 4 well geared commanders to be competitive in 2.0 instead of just 1. this game is dead anyways for anyone new unless they buy an account and if they buy an account they can get one with classic gear.

I wish they had made the old equipment work with the new system and been upfront about things and where the game was headed. I’m in the same position as you now where I am feeling punished for upgrading all mine to 2.0 and I’m kinda wishing for devs to pull everyone’s 1.0 classic gear 🤣 which is severely unfair and selfish but that’s where the game is taking me in the interest of combat fairness 1.0 equipment just doesn’t fit in. I love seeing anti madness equipment in game and other stat effects etc. usually it’s the more gear options the better. Have more choices should be beneficial but with the way the system works it’s just a complete mess trying to implement classic items in 2.0 with no commander/dmg/hp buffs etc too. A confusing mess we were punished for.

For damage dealers 2.0 gear needs damage on chest and helmet so you have 4 damage buffs from gear or make HP matter

The main objective of the new gear overhaul was to move away from everyone requiring to have frenzy hammer, aegis casque, etc... to have fun. In general I think classic gear should be phased out. Mostly so things can be balanced, I would think it would be incredibly unfair if the optimal gear is a combination of classic/new gear which makes new players always disadvantaged. The only alternative is making 2.0 gear overpowered (which it is!) making classic gear basically pointless except for extremely niche cases, either way phasing out seems the better option.
