Carnival Tritium Watch Review: Hands On and Better Than I Thought

This is the Carnival Tritium straight from China. It took about a month and a half to get to Alaska, but here is it in its glory. Solid stainless steel case and bracelet, combination of both brushed and polished surfaces, quartz movement with Blue T25 Tritium on the black dial. 40 mm in diameter, 49 lug to lug, 20 mm lug width, and 12 mm in height.

I got the white dial with green tritium. Never have a problem at any time of daylight, or lack thereof, reading the dial. I really like it.

I've owned a day date version of this watch with a blue face for over a year now. It's really nice. Punches well above it's weight at the price.

I have a tritium keyring. Best keychain accessory there is by far as I can always spot my keys in a space, as long as it's slightly dark. From my experience, green is the brightest tritium closely followed by white. More distantly yellow then purple and finally blue. These are all GLTS, which is tritium in a gas form, though you can't tell. I imagine this is the same as they put it in a tube. So I would look at these colours if you want to try out tritium. Never had it on a watch but have had my fair share of glowy sticks, mostly in keyring form :) They're also a cool secret santa gift for guys. Kudos to Carnival for making an original design by the way, if Chinese watchmakers get into that I think they will get a lot more respect.

See I read that green is brighter, but I just love the look of the blue more. Seriously is getting me looking for higher end tritium watches

I bought two of these over three years ago for $99 on Amazon. Both are still on the original battery. The tritium markers are still bright as ever. I added screen protectors. I don't know how rugged they are, but so far in daily use they have been flawless. I don't know if they are still available. They aren't on Amazon anyway.

Movement for that Carnival is confirmed to be a Swiss Ronda Movement. If I recall, they have also offered sunburst blue, carbon fibre textured, urban camoed dials and the option of a PVD case. Carnival doesn't give their watches screw-down crowns for some reason but they are splash-proof and people have taken it swimming. In the low-range (

Doesn't this watch have the Hardlex crystal? Hardlex is tougher than mineral, less than sapphire but less shatter prone than sapphire.

Hi, have you tested the window material with a special diamond tester? is there really a sapphire in there?

I don’t. It’s in the list as a tool to get. I only say what’s listed and known. So like a Parnis says sapphire, and I trust that as many others have tested it. Some Parnis’, automatic with sapphire, are near the same price point if not cheaper. So it’s not unreasonable that it is

you can't find the "day only" version anymore... I have an all black white numbers blue tritium version- its my favorite watch, the perfect size. I ordered a Day/Date version and... it wasn't tritium like the ads said. I got a refund and gave it away

warning! do not buy this brand, the automatic movement charges poorly, it must be adjusted every morning, the watch does not correspond to the seller's image, carnival customer service is bad times! the quality and lower than the photo and the watch smaller than the measurements described by the seller
