I bought it and use it with my Mac Mini M2. Love it. The only criticism would be about the not very easy access to the ports. The various ports are oriented downward and hidden inside the monitor. To plug in a cable, you have to flip the monitor, but when you already have 3-4 wires connected, it's not always straightforward, especially if, due to lack of space, your Mac Mini is placed on the monitor stand. However, as explained in your video, it's the ideal monitor for Mac (professional) users. I concur ;) .

Solid review. After watching various KZbin videos including this one I bought a PD2725u. I’m using it as a main monitor connected to a 24” imac which was my main and only monitor but is now secondary extended display. I am really struggling as it’s nothing like the imac. The brightness, pure whites and blacks and contrast on the iMac screen are massively dynamic and the are nowhere near on the Benq. Not even close. I’ve set the Benq as bright as it can go and the imac about 70% brightness and the iMac is still brighter. I’ve set the Benq colour profile to Mac book and it’s nothing like the iMac. MacBooks and iMacs have colour profiles themselves so what colour profile are you using on your Macbook when you set your monitor to MacBook mode? ? I’m really struggling as I’ve got two monitors next to each other that look nothing like each other. I bought the monitor because it was going to be colour accurate but accurate to what? Any help at all appreciated.

based on reviews in amazon the build quality is quite iffy and I think I will skip it.
@jonnyfez Жыл бұрын
@@paularaja I found the build quality pretty good. It’s solid and clean looking and very adjustable. The main problem for me it it is fiddly getting to the ports on the back. They’re in an awkward position.

Jonny - I have this monitor paired with a 27" iMac and struggling to match the colours too. What solution did you find, please?
@jonnyfez3 ай бұрын
@@julianroberts9544 if I'm honest I didn't really find a perfect solution. It seems to be very much to do with brightness and contrast, both of which affect colour. Higher contrast increases saturation (colour). When I compare images on my monitor with on my Ipad pro they still appear different. I think the closest is if you put the monitor in macbook mode. What I found was my imac 24 monitor was MUCH brighter and if I turned the brightness on that down and maxed out my Benq the colours were actually similar. I really struggle with consistent colours across devices. I have an Android phone abd that looks completely different. Good luck.

Not a single word on scaling?
@TheDanEdwards Жыл бұрын
This monitor is intended for photographers and designers who use graphics software. Scaling, if it is an issue at all (and I suspect it is a grossly exaggerated issue), is rarely raised in videos by photographers.

The power supply for the monitor, just a cable or does it come with a power supply unit?
@hassanahmed1755 Жыл бұрын
You also should mention that this monitor compatible with display pilot, which allow to adjust all monitor setting without back key, this is way more convenient as the software will allow this setting to be accessible using the mouse and keyboard. which I think it huge advantage comparing to other monitor brands where most likely you have to install a third part app just to adjust the basic like brightness or speaker, but Display pilot has more setting and programable setting for each app.

60 Hz / compared to 120 Hz of the Macbook Pro monitors. I left a comment above, please read it if you have time because I am also "struggeling" to find out if 60 Hz will be enough compared to 120 of the MBP.

Many thanks for this review, 'im actually looking for a Macbook monitor. Just a question, how can you say that the image is identical to your macbook even though it is obvious in the video that the blacks are much less deep, the image is significantly less sharp and the contrast much lower... and everything this is confirmed by the technical sheet.

My Advice go for Benq, I have ordered the Alogic a few days a go, and canceled the order before it arrive, and here is why I cancelled, which things I didn't realize as none of those reviewed the Alogic ever mentioned, For example they never mention that the only way to adjust screen brightness and speaker is to use the key at the bottom of the screen, in fact all setting has to be done though the keys at the bottom, and it really annoying to adjust setting this way, and before I cancel the order, I thought perhaps Alogic has a driver where I can download/install to allow monitor setting control using the mouse and keyboards as you naturally do with your laptop, and discovered they don't have anything as such to control the monitor setting, the last option to convince my sell not to cancel is to consider a third party app that well allow some basic control, which I wasn't convinced by it. for this reason I liked Benq approach to include the Hotkey buck to allow much more easier access to control the monitor which is a huge plus, nevertheless the programed mode built in the monitor, that said, I recently discovered that Benq also provide a software, Called "Display Pilot" which will allow complete control using the mouse and keyboards, and much more programmable settings for each app individually, which I find even better way to control the monitor and the extra features it comes with, as well as it is provided by Benq them self so I would expect a better optimisation with the monitor than using third party app, with basic control. that said, Benq still not compromising the quality of their monitors, colours, and over all quality. the other major difference is that Alogic is Glossy monitor while Benq is Matte, so this is subjective obviously, and it one of the reason I considered Alogic, but I have to be realistic despite colour would be richer on Glossy monitor, I just can't stand reflection and glare it just incredibly annoying, so I decided to stick with Matte, but I also decoded it has to be Benq monitor regardless which monitor, just for the amazing hotkey and display pilot to easily control my monitor.

Delta E = 1.31 is not a color accurate monitor.

I think Delta E below 1.5 is acceptable. Some factory calibrated monitors come with delta < 2 and yet still being claimed to be '' accurate'', ridiculous.

I have been using an iPhone XS MAX and then upgraded to the 14 Pro Max / & I have been using a Macbook Pro 15" 2014 and then upgraded to a Macbook Pro M1 16" and I can say that the big difference of the refresh rate was amazing. So my question is the following : are 60 Hz enough if I use the monitor with the Macbook Pro M1 16" - or will I be able to see a lag on the screen ? I am not a gamer, I do music production and some video editing on FCPX and soem photo editing, but I am using a lot the multi-desktop option from MAC OS and I thought that the 60 Hz of this Benq monitor will be visible compared to that one of the Macbook that I have been unsing over a yar now.... What do you think ? I was thinking between this Benq monitor presented in this video and the Philips Evnia 27M1F5800 kzbin.info/www/bejne/fYWZnnuhp7p0m5osi=kuUSVUUA-NBwY4EZ What are your thoughts about this ? Are 60 Hz enough ? Or should I go for a 120 / 144 Hz one ? Yes I know, bot Apple monitors : the 5000 $ and the 1500 $ have also only 60 Hz...
