Taiwan is not only a big player in microchips and tools but also in bicycle parts. Nearly all bicycle frames sold by reputable brands come from Taiwan. Pretty impressive for such a small country, being one of the top dogs in so many different industries.

Last time I checked, Taiwan had 2400 tool manufacturers with an average of 24 employees. Cool screwdriver thanks Catus

That's crazy. Even if you put all the Western manufacturers together, you probably wouldn't even come close to that number.

That’s a lot of tool manufacturers!

I believe that may be a Taiwanese patent number. Unfortunately I can't find any images of the patent. But I can find that that number was issued in 1969, which looks appropriate for the age of this tool.

Never mind that patent is for a telephone.

Try Rachel Meadow Herself on 12-16-24 on Elon Musk and Tesla. Report and what happened to Tesla and then understand. Why he is so close. That is where the investigation is at now.

I've got one of these in yellow in ph2. It's been around just about my entire life and taken a massive amount of abuse yet it's still good. It's a tank of a screwdriver. No idea who made it. Only thing that you can read says Taiwan.

Huh. I have one that looks identical but it has a wooden handle

Interesting, I never knew Taiwan copied these early PROTO screwdrivers. I don't think this is actually a demolition screwdriver really, it's just a copy of an old heavy duty PROTO from the 50's which had the cap and ferrule mostly because the handle was wood. I don't remember the model of PROTO screwdriver was a copy of, I'd have to go look in my box and look at it.

Thanks for the information about the PROTO, I’ll have to do some more research on it!

Yes, I have an old Proto (Plomb?) with wood handle. It's big, maybe 15", and pretty cool.
