Aiden, your videos were my bible when I first started and it's WHY I felt so set up for success, even when I had NO IDEA if I would make any money at all. Thanks for making great videos that gave me the confidence I needed to know I was taking my business seriously (even when it was just a wee baby of a business).

These are the same tips in seeing everywhere else. But most of us had our equipment before we started trying to make money off of it. The IRS has special rules for deductions things that we already owned. I would love to see videos about that.

And there's not a requirement or even a bonus for having an LLC (or any other entity) to get those deductions. Schedule C can be your friend without the expense of a entity tax return.

What an amazing video. This will be my first year really trying to grow my social media presence and make it a business. I started my LLC and have put a lot of things in place. If you pay to promote your videos, whether on TikTok, Instagram, etc, does that count as marketing expenses? Also, my MAIN content will be overlanding/offroading type content. That falls under the umbrella of travel blogger. Is there a general rule of thumb on which expenses would be deductible if I'm traveling to a destination and making a video about it?

So should we create an llc or business account as a KZbin/ content creator? Or should we keep It under our own personal name

I’m still wondering what about getting your hair done if you’re on KZbin filming I would think that falls under actor/ performance which should then allow you to write off hair ?

Do you have a tax professional you would recommend for travel bloggers? Social Media influencers who travel full time? Thanks for the video! This was great info!

So I’m a food influencer and recently a company has started to offer me complimentary dinners in exchange for a post. I’m pretty new to this and wonder do you do general online consultations just to answers questions, learn? Stuff like that. I saw you offered some services but didn’t see a direct option for general consulting call? Thanks in advance. Great video btw!

Hi Aiden, great video. I found your video after wondering if KZbinrs (in the case specifically Coldones) can write off their massive expenditures for videos. In their latest video they spend 30.000 aud buying different items of the internet to (in essence) review. You definitely touch upon this, but due to the nature of the items that are being reviewed (and their obscurity), I wonder to what extent this is justifiable legally. I'm assuming you are not familiar with their content, but I was wondering if you could elaborate on how flexible the law is in this particular context.

Hi, Interesting Info. you gave Thanks for that but i have one question if you can answer briefly will be helpful because i am KZbinr too - If we are US citizen or any other country and creating content in our country and register my channel under a business adsense account with a LLC in some TAX haven country like Dubai or may be Cayman Islands etc. and recieve YT Income there from Google. Do i need to pay TAXES in my own country or i just need to pay TAXES to country my KZbin channel LLC is registered according to their TAX % ?

I’ve been doing it the Trump style, literally MILK-ing and makeup some deductions. In the past 3 years I didn’t have to pay taxes. And my tax person at HR block okay with it. 😅

What amount the costs to create videos that are used over & over again by subscribers? Are any portion of those costs required to be depreciated?
@chrisweiser36573 күн бұрын
No, it's not like having a product that you'll eventually run out of as you sell it, so you have no asset to sell, therefore no sales taxes.

So, what I'm hearing is, even though my channel is still teeny tiny and only made me about $300 this year, I can deduct all of my bottles of resin, molds, glitters, alcohol inks, etc etc etc. Lol.
@cynthiaivers17089 ай бұрын
Probably not as the IRS would probably deem it a hobby not a business.
@chrisweiser36573 күн бұрын
Yes you can, you get a few years of losses before they really start to scrutinize whether it's a hobby or not.

Can always count on you for great, informative videos. If a company offers you a fee to do an ad in your YT video for their product & they send you the product for the video, do you have to count the retail value as income?
