I also agree with you in terms of finding the ABH kit isn't all that it's hyped up to be. I used it last year and ended up returning it because it was a $50 price tag here in Canada which means I better be reaching for it everyday and loving it to death, which I wasn't. I'm curious as to why nobody is including the highly popular Smashbox contour kit in their comparison reviews. I had to order mine online because it's sold out every time I go into Sephora, and it's been out a shorter time than the ABH one and gotten rave reviews. I love it. I also tried the KVD palette and agree that they're very blendable and soft, but all the highlighting shades were too cakey and drying on my already ultra dry skin so I returned it. Plus, I found it a little too bulky for my needs. I have heard terrible things about the NYX kit but you didn't seem to write it off. The price point is way too high for starters but I haven't tried it so I can't attest to the blend ability and pigmentation, formula, etc. I was hyped about the Too Faced one but the more I look at it and listen to others, I am not so sure about spending the $. I found the ulta contour kit at my ulta only after I asked for it they had it behind the counter. I like it for contouring but it is the first contour kit I have ever used.

Do you think the Kat Von D highlighting shades would be good for setting the under eye area? I know a lot of people use the Anastasia banana powder for setting underneath the eyes, but I like the KVD palette better. Thoughts?

I had forgotten about seeing that Kevin aucoin one on seohoras site until you mentioned it. Lol. Prob still will go with the kat von d. I wasn't wanting one in the beginning, but do think I'd be nice to have actual contour shades as opposed to using bronzers. I do sometimes use the nyx blush in taupe tho. That works nicely. Great video. I was in Ulta and was told that more are on the way. They only get 5 in at a time and I'm on a waiting list when they come in. You can also call and they will hold for you. Thank goodness I work about 5 minutes from a Ulta Store so I stalk them during the week. Kat Von D looks like a winner.

So late to the game. Just bought the ABH light to medium contour pallette today because it is half off at Ulta (and Sephora I believe). I also like two things about it, 1. You can take out the pans to add to Z pallettes or if only one refill is needed and 2. It has a shimmer highlight. Fingers crossed I like it. For $20 I am sure it will be great.

Love your makeup! It really suits you! I'm not a great fan of contour kits cause I don't think that it's possible to use all the shades. Those products could be helpful to someone who has fake tanning or a makeup artist. But I enjoyed your video and I found it really thorough!

In my opinion, it blows all of the palettes you mentioned out of the water! The KVD palette is nice too, but it takes 2nd place in comparison.

I actually prefer the new Marc Jacobs contour palletes. I have the Anastasia pallette and I find myself using just the first highlight and contour shade and the rest of the colors have become a waste. Marc Jacobs has them divided and gives u more product for $44.
