In my opinion I think grey contours look more natural even in person. When there is a natural shadow it is grey. It's not a orangey brown color. I warm up the skin with benefit hoola and then contour with nyx blush taupe. Nyx taupe is an individual color like the one in the nyx contour palette

I agree with you girlie and that's pretty much what I do too. Less is definitely more when contouring with a cool greyish color. It's all in how you apply it I feel.

Yes! I feel like the youtubers are so used to packing on their orangey shades that when they try to use the correct ones, they go way overboard and that's why they don't like them. I contour with grey-toned shades and they look awesome in person.

This was a really great comparison/review! I bought the NYX palette but returned it without using it because I had a feeling it wasn't going to be great and it was so expensive for a drugstore product. I splurged on the Kat Von D palette and the matching brush instead. Now I'm glad I did and can't wait to use the KVD palette!

Agreed on the setting spray.. I have it and I'm still not sure how I feel about it. It kind of leaves a slimy residue but that could just be because I go all ham on my face, spraying it like its an urban decay setting spray. 😂😂

Loreal setting spray is better than urban decay setting spray . Try it ! Just coupon for it . Cvs offers extra bucks that is just like cash in the store . So the extra bucks plus manufactured coupons should knock it down to a more reasonable price .

The first time I tried the kat von d contour kit I was amazed !! It's so pigmented and creamy!! I was so impressed. Like wow ! I'm in love !! Luckily I didn't purchase the NYX contour kit. When it first launched online I was soooo close to ordering but stop because I couldn't justify spending at the time it was $30 (nyx now lowered the price ) for a drugstore that's too expensive ! If you're gonna spend $30 you mind as well spend 10-15 more for a Highend one. But I loveeee loveee my KVD & ABH Kits. GAME CHANGER 🙌

The NYX contour kit in my opinion is better then the anastasia contour kit! I work at Ulta and I was comparing all the contour kits and it is so creamy and so easy to blend for me. I'm in love with it! Definitely worth the money people! All the girls at my job would agree with me! If you look at other reviews a lot of girls like it! Some even prefer it over the ABH contour kit. Maybe you got a funky one? Who knows! You look gorgeous btw! Hope to see a tutorial! :)
