Thanks for watching and sorry for the long speech at the end! I didn't mean it negatively towards any other creators, the TLDR version is, I hope that viewers could find these videos valuable (entertaining, useful, whatever) enough to THEM that they might consider supporting solely because of that. See you all in the next one! PS. If you're wondering about the snowfall, these videos are currently around 2 months behind real time.

I feel the same way. 80% of these channles use sex, deceit and constantly cry about something broken over and over to get money. They spend weeks out on the water only to have a 10 minute video or the put an exciting title only for the last 2 minutes to be what the title says. I started ignoring or hitting the not recommend the channel or have even reported as misleading. Those reasons are why i don't subscribe to any channels anymore. Your videos seemed to be down to earth and real, which i have only come across a few like yours. ❤

have you considered creating storyline for a video where the climax and resolution are split into a second video posted only for patreon subscribers to drive more patrons? would that provide enough incremental value for you to justify asking viewers to join patreon for you?

Juho and Sohvi have captured a defined group of sailing enthusiasts or adventurer's with their channel. This highly defined sector are more than gracious to donate towards your exceptional presentation. Where else could we view sailing in Alaska during the winter months captured by your filming and editing capabilities. This particular episode was truly amazing and for one cannot thank you both enough. Bathing in the hot springs was breath taking and the trek was spectacular. We just hope that both you and Sohvi realize how lucky you are to thrive on this type of adventure. The honesty you both exhibit is beyond that of other channels.

I’ve always enjoyed you and Sohvi as you document your sailing adventures. I particularly enjoyed watching your episodes of wintering on the North coast of Iceland. A lot of people who watch these sailing channels do so with an eye to the romance of such an adventure. Your channel shows the determination, and dedication needed to successfully sail in extremely trying situations. Keep on keeping on good people, and I will continue to adventure vicariously on your journeys.

.Solo sailors and couple sailors have alone time ,especially during watch, partly struggling with sleep patterns and other issues . The thought and emotional process in sailing can be smartly/consciously used for meaningful contemplation.A% of hermits on land voluntary reduce their sleep ,getting up before 4am each day, extending conscious contemplation time in several ways .Sea and land 'hermits' have to apply awareness/being awake, with a backup of trainable skills to respond to situations accurately. That includes looking honestly at what is happening ,avoiding to follow blindly compulsions, assumptions ,desire habits. Lot's to uncover/discover/learn and rejoice on that journey . Arctic sailing offers an esp. interesting/beautiful environment for above and this channel does a wonderful service ,worthy to receive donation contributions voluntary with thanks! That service might increase with more content on environment protection and with skillful offered insights on the interconnectedness of inner-outer environment . My thanks to both creators of this channel all the way from the Himalaya mountains .

Juho, I fully understand your discussion on a model for sustaining an income stream to support your work. You really are one of the best. You never use those stupid click bait poses with a distressed look on your face and a title that sounds like you sank in the middle of the Atlantic but it was just a small window leak or the “we are so stupid, we did it again” we bought an abandoned boat for $1. You are genuine and do high quality work. Here’s one of your challenges. I’m retired, love your channel, but we already pay $300 per month for subscriptions. All US networks are going to streaming which adds cost for viewers. We have a daughter and two grandkids living with us too (an increasing trend in the US) so we have a lot of kids programming on TV and tablets. Point is, there is so much you’re competing against. Honestly, I’m ok with adds, if I had to pay a subscription for everything I watch it would be $1K monthly which is unsustainable for me. I don’t have an answer for you but as someone who worked at Discovery Channel’s parent, all the providers are struggling with how to reach their audience and still make money. You’re not alone.

One thing you should invest in for snow removal is a strong battery powered leaf blower. It won’t work for the heavy snow in this video but it will for the usual light snow.
