One of the reasons Ally McBeal was such a popular series, was the singing voice of Vonda Shepard.She added so much to the emotional appeal the show had on viewers.Especially when the emphasis was on the relationship between Ally and Billy.Their scenes together were so romantic, and at the same time so tragic.Tragic in the sense that those two people, who every viewer realized still loved each other, never got back together.When writer/creator David E. Kelley killed off Billy in the Season 3 Episode,"Boy Next Door",he took the Heart right out of the series.

Don’t be a man hater. This was one of my favorite shows ever. Every character was so unique yet they pulled it all together as one. BTW I’m probably one of a few that has Vonda Shepard songs in my favorites playlist.
