How to write Dark Hypnotic Techno Melody (+ non-melodic hook tips) [Ableton Techno Tutorial]

This is a great starting point/method to write dark techno melody, and if you hate musical melody and rather like noisier pattern, I show you tips for that too !

In case you don't know of them I can recommend Yan cook's channel and also the channel SINEE (it's in german but still pretty easy to follow), both of these share some secrets/techniques. But yes AYNIL is the main one and the only one I know with a lot of content. EDIT: Saw now you wrote more like deep techno, check out Hypnus Records channel. Ntogn has some walkthroughs there. But other than that I don't know anyone else really.

Thanks for many good tips. Especially How to start. I tested your workflow with 16 "startnotes" , then created them longer and pitched them to other notes in the scale and that was a much easier way to create a melody. The last tips works for me too when I work with OP-Z and use the LFO, punch-in or tape-effects. Once again Thanks!

Such a fantastic channel! Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Im wondering if its possible for you to show how to make retro techno/trance. In particular the Oliver Lieb/LSG sound. Like how to process the percussions, bass & so on to make them sound like he did. (Dirty with alot of "weight") Never heard anyone make better drums then him.
