I love my MiSTer, I'm lucky that my wife just nods in quiet incomprehension rather than actually getting annoyed with how much I spent on mine.

@@allyourbasekris the secret is that my wife doesn’t know how much I’ve actually spent on mine :-)

I’m in Australia but purchased my mt32pi from Nat at misterfpga.co.uk. The build quality was excellent and even though it did take a bit of time to reach me here on the other side of the world, I couldn’t be happier and it was worth the (shipping) wait. I would have no issues recommending them for all your MiSTer needs :-)

I'm pleased it was helpful. I hope you got some nice goodies, the mt32-pi is an amazing bit of kit if you're into the ao486 core.

Thanks for this :) - btw what are the correct positions of four dip switches for the analogue IO? For the digital I needed to change them but what about for the analogue IO?

The buttons are pressed down if I screw the top plate on completely tight. Is this expected. I had to leave them partially unscrewed on one side so that the buttons could depress.
@allyourbasekris3 жыл бұрын
Nope, they should be beveled and poke through the 3 holes. Did you get your case from misterfpga.co.uk?
@TheChuckster4023 жыл бұрын
@@allyourbasekris Yes. It's the acrylic one purchased from misterfpga.co.uk -- the buttons do poke through the three holes, but the face plate PRESSES them down (and doesn't let them come back up again), if the top plate is screwed down all the way. Feels janky. I can provide a photograph / video demonstration within a day or so.

I think I figured it out -- I believe there are 14 mm stand-offs and there are 16 mm stand-offs, but they both seemed like 14 mm to me -- so obviously, the 16 mm ones need to go on top to leave room for the buttons to be able to release.

@@TheChuckster402 It definitely shouldn't be doing that, the fitment is normally perfect. One thing that might be worth checking is if the spacers between your boards are all level and screwed into each other properly. I've had issues in the past where the case wouldn't seat properly as some the spacers sat too high, it sounds like the opposite problem for you though. If you continue to have issues please drop them an email at they're really helpful.

What’s your pc specs? If you don’t mind me asking
@allyourbasekris3 жыл бұрын
I don't mind at all, I'm running a stock AMD 5 3600 with 16 GB of DDR4 ram @ 3200mhz and Zotac 2060RTX in a small form factor NZXT H1 chassis. Pretty modest specs but I only game in 1080P. My monitor can do 165mhz and most of the games I like to play I can get over 100FPS

Yeah I bought my case from the same place, missing the last set of spacers you put in on that top side of the IO board. Frustrating.
@allyourbasekris3 жыл бұрын
That's really suprising, Nat from misterfpga.co.uk normally provides everything. If you're having an issue. Please shoot him a message via the conctact form on the website and he'll sort you out I'm sure.
