Great news! And even better you have a place to sell it all 😁👍🏻👍🏻

Great stuff, that's impressive, not only is that a lot of honey, it's a lot of hard graft. We're selling at £9 per pound jar and it doesn't seem enough.

I know, so much work goes into it. Whatever we charge doesn’t seem enough.

£9 per lb is a rather low price . We sell 1/2lb for £7.50

Glad you have some ‘rewards’ to harvest after all your hard work this season 😃 Mind you it’s going to take some extracting 😳 Love the wheelbarrow 🤣🤣 Bet lots of people will want one of those 🤣🤣🇬🇧

I noticed quite a few bees in the supers about half way through the video. How did you get those bees out before you put the supers in the van?
@gwenyngruffydd2 жыл бұрын
Hi, on those occasions we used the blower to get the bees out.

I had 3 out of 5 hives survive last winter, split one into 12 more hives, the other 2 gathered me 135 Kg of honey (300 lbs)... Over 45 gallons. If all 15 hives make it and are as productive I may have a similar amount of honey on my hands... Not sure I'm prepared for this, I'm only in my 3rd year 😲

You recovered really well. Great job! 😊👍🏻👍🏻

@@gwenyngruffydd Thank you! :) and it was 25 gallons not 45 (Apparently, I can't math hehe)

Did you split into 12 one of the two left alive and it still gave you that much honey?!! :)
@lagrangebees17 күн бұрын
@@Dinavd3sg Yes, the 2 hives I left in production made me 300lbs. Summer flow in Canada is pretty intense and nonstop (there is usually, no dearths), since we have such a short season, plants go all out.
@acrewoodapiary47412 жыл бұрын
Do you leave a super on for over wintering
@gwenyngruffydd2 жыл бұрын
Only if the colony is really big. If they can fit into a single box I prefer to winter them like that.

Notice you're using National supers, Wouldn't Commercial supers be more practical ?
@gwenyngruffydd2 жыл бұрын
Yes, we keep both. Mainly national though. Picked up a lot of second hand kit over the years.
