Almost 3 months in the Netherlands and FINALLY…an UPDATE…no update😜

So, it’s been almost 3 months here in the Netherlands and things have not really gone so great for us, but we are here and we are working hard to get settled. I will post a more detailed update tomorrow, but for now, at least you can see we are still here and doing ok! Thanks to everyone who has liked, subscribed and commented! Curious about your struggles. There is this dutch saying ‘gedeelde smart is halve smart’. It translates to something like ‘shared sorrow/burden is half as heavy’. Keep up your hope.

I still don’t know exactly why it uploaded that way. I recorded it correctly. I do have a new iPhone though, and tried uploading it through iMovie, and it didn’t upload upside down… very odd

I can imagine you have so much to learn about life here, it is no wonder you needed time. There are so many things that to us Dutch is perfectly normal but if you're new takes time to find out. I saw a video on Soul to Soul travels about how they did not know how to unlock a shopping cart for instance. Small thing but there must be many more. Take your time 😘

Trying to hold it down. It has been quite the struggle. We know eventually we will love it, but we haven’t had time to enjoy it yet, as we have been so focused on getting things in order. I’m looking forward to the day we have a routine and a home settled here.

Glad to hear some news from you 👍😊Life in Europe is not becoming easier because the war in Ukrain. People are worried about Energy costs and Inflation. I trink this is not the best period to grow in European society coming from the USA.

Unfortunately the same things are happening in the US, but then we also have political, racial, and class divisions. I know that no place is perfect, but I’m hopeful we can create a good life here for Elyse, and maybe contribute something back to the Dutch community as well.
