patrouski released a video recently, in which he mentions that you could use a budget re-run team Typhlosions with min 25 Sp.A and min 20 Speed

You definitely could do that if you are just getting started! However, I wouldn't really recommend lower spatk unless you are really tight on money. With 25 satk, the rolls against kingdra, mantine, and milotic are about 50% chance to ohko whereas with 31, it goes to about 85% chance. These don't come up often since they are only on 1/5 teams of 3 of the leader I believe, but it could slow you down a lot if you miss the OHKO. I'm not sure about the speed thing either since I haven't tested it but you would likely still outspeed everything with 20 speed!

This is a wonderful video! Very minor timesave: if you keep the team you want to swap in the rightmost six slots it reduces the time you have to drag the mouse, and additionally you can click and drag the last pokemon you selected rather than click the first one. Have you played around with any setup sweepers to attempt to quickly sweep Morimoto?

Thanks! I used to use the battle boxes but I didn't like how they just replace the spot in the PC. It made my boxes very disorganized lol. Definitely a good alternative though! Thanks for watching!! I have tried setting up with togekiss and chandelure, with no luck. He has too many counter possibilities in my opinion but if you know a simple one please let me know! Edit: also just noticed you are Caav! I love your videos! My first one with hooh is an alteration I came up with based on your old hooh video! @@JinxedBoon Yeah absolutely go nuts! I do not take any ownership of those strategies whatsoever, nothing stopping anyone from doing so! More important to credit the people that I'm referencing hahaha. If you're talking about the team for all five gens, someone noticed a problem with Pikachu on Gen 1 of that team using Thunderbolt instead of Volt Switch and then sweeping the whole team lol, so let me know if you run into that problem. As far as Morimoto sweepers, I haven't done all that much testing, but I suspect something like Honchkrow or Dragonite or Salamence might be able to sweep w/ Moxie. Haven't tested anything yet personally.

@caav.pokemmo thanks for the heads up! I'm actually planning on just making a recorded and explained video for the specific teams for each gen and showing them in action. The document is pretty clear and I know most teams are pretty much the same, but I figured it could be useful for some people to just look up a video for the specific gen they are facing against

Me using 2 typhlosion, blastoise, togekiss, aerodacty and garchomp in a single team for gym reruns

I usually do gym re runs twice a day first all the gyms in unova and sinnoh along with morimoto and 1 extra gym if lucky and the 2nd run is 20 gyms being all from kanto and johto and 5 gyms from hoenn i am still learning with this team so might be able to do all the gyms in kanto, johto and hoenn after getting used to it also the profit i currently get is 500k excluding 2 amulet coins

Yeah that's a great team too! I prefer a more simplified strategy since I am usually doing my gym rerun on mobile while distracted. This run is typically 420k per hour using an amulet coin so it's a great run! It was recorded close to LNY when riches charms were cheaper but right now, coins are definitely much better

Some advice: It is totally viable to use setup with cottonee and torkoal before setting out the 2 Blastoise. You will go first due to tailwind and can setup rain safely without worrying about Blaine getting those sun boosted or thunder punch moves in. Anyone know a good substitute for the Raikou though?

Definitely you could! But the point is to not have to go reset so that would kinda defeat that purpose. I'd say with how rare it is to actually wipe to Blaine, it's totally worth skipping the reset imo. As for raikou replacement, magnezone might work! I'm trying to experiment with an easy sweep team and think I'm onto one for both him and Cynthia. I'll update you guys when I solve it though!

Nice video, excellent optimization for Pat's strat, tho I have something to add You should start at the gym that takes a while to get to the gym leader, for example, Mossdeep Lavaridge Azalea Blackthorn It's a massive time save as well for Pewter it's better to send Typho and Toise in case if Slowbro or Ludicolo lead cuz they have always a Ninetales and Toise can 2 KO through Olivine can be double Typho lead and then one Typho for Toise swapped out if Metagross Forretress lead so you deal with Rapidash

Thanks for the feedback! I actually timed each gym and the reason I started here was because when you include the bike time from the PC, it's actually one of the longest ones. I was surprised how fast some of the puzzle gyms were after actually timing them but it seemed the distance from PC to gym was actually a major component to it. Thanks for the tip on Pewter! I used to try that but found I would either swap in on the wrong lead or make some kind of mistake. The aerodactyls can mess up blastoise too in my experience. I appreciate the feedback though! I'll keep testing and maybe make an updated run in time

Hello Electrode wipes my team at mauvill any ideas why ? outspeeding my typhlosion 31 speed 252 speed paralizing then kills ..

@@jaraxuseredarne5184 yeah electrode will outspeed but unless he gets a double para and both get stuck not attacking, you should be able to recover the sweep with just Eruption and water spout once one goes down

I would recommend doing this without the blastoise, skipping those gyms. After 2 days of those you can get both the fly ocarina and do the full route but slower because you wont be right at the PC. 2 more days of it and you will have the teleport one too and can do the full route! Typhlosion can learn cut, which i think is the only other HM along the route. Also, my new guide, since gym teleporters and DC penalties were put in, is on the way so watch out for that soon!
