ALMOST A Fairytale Ending - Disneyland Paris Van Life: - France 2023

We pull up to Disneyland Paris and camp in their car park giving us prime location to explore both parks from our home from home. It's an odd way to van life in France and we didn't expect the ending we got either.
On day one we explore Disneyland Park and go on rides we didn't experience on our previous trip here. This includes some rides that some people tend to overlook, and one that we didn't think would live up to the hype - but then really surprised us.
On day two we spent most of the day in Walt Disney Studios Park, again getting braver with the rides. Let's just say Crushes Coaster was on Lily's list and had her somewhat shook!
The Disneyland Paris Aire provides a close bolt hole to explore the parks and proved an ideal place to rest before taking on the evening, which of course meant we got to see Disney Delight including the amazing fireworks and drone shows.

It wasn’t until we edited the vid that we realized just how excited we all were; Disneyland is like an adrenaline rush so you know you’re having fun but we don’t remember singing as much as we did - this is one of the best reasons we love making the vlogs. Yes the foot, we know 🤦. She definitely shouldn’t have been.

OMG!! I could tell as the days went on Kelly, you were limping worse and worse, and I was starting to worry about you. And Then just as you said that at the hospital they cut your foot… my warped brain went straight to OFF (!!) 😵‍💫😳😝 that’s a Texan for you. Thank you for your kind words. Honestly we were shocked with how fast it was, not sure if you could tell by Lily’s face 😂! Kelly’s foot basically swelled up and went red, so we had to abandon ship a bit earlier than planned. We didn’t fancy trying to find a doctor in France, so thought a big drive home would be better. Will keep you posted.

Do you home school Lily? I want to go back to vanlife but me n the misses have a young child too. She’s not keen on homeschooling and feels it could impact his social skills. I’d love to know what your thoughts are on all this?

Hey. No we don’t at the moment but like yourself have considered it, and visit the subject every now and then. For us, due to Covid etc, we felt it right she’s at school for the reasons you’ve mentioned to be honest. I think if circumstances were different we’d have made a different decision. It’s such a personal decision, there’s no right or wrong answer we think. I know there’s lots of resources to help, and being a former teacher could get on board with it. Lots of people do it, and we’ve met some folks that do it really well with very large families too!

Hey. We bought annual passes in 2023, and used them for around 12 days in total over the 3 times we’ve been. It worked out cheaper that way for us at the time, and it reduced the parking to €15 euro a night.
