Do you have a piece of memory you are holding on to so tight that it's difficult to move on?
You may have seen many of these Australian outback clips in my other videos. This is me finally able to pick up the memory and look back at the trip as a whole.
On this trip, we went from Victoria, through South Australia and the Nullabor Plain, arrived at Perth and Rottnest Island in Western Australia, camped at the most unforgettable beaches. and almost burnt down my Landcruiser...

Update on the story: The breakout happened around last year this time. It made me realize how much I am loved by my friends and family. Can't thank you all enough for being my crying shoulders and emotional shelters. After a heart-shattering few months, we have now reconnected as friends. As for the "3rd party", she's no longer in the picture. I don't know where this will lead us and I'm still terribly horrified by intimate connections. But you may start to see him in my future videos as we carefully tread the water as travel companions again.

Hard call to make and one that only you can. It would take a lot of years before I would even think about trusting a person who did that to me but that is just me. Good luck with it all.

Ahhhh memories :) Thank you for sharing Monique, Give thanks and gratitude and focus on the lessons learned for its the trials, tribulations, pain and heart ache that makes us who we are. Give Thanks and Gratitude for the lessons for they are what helps us heal. However "NEVER" go back to the ones that brought those lessons to us for it tells the Universe that we never learned anything and will only bring the same lessons back to us!!. Re memories :- Worked in the V8 Super Car series years ago and covered a lot of ground around that huge Island!!

Hi Overland Lady - Mom here, 1 child. A few relationships later, I'm no expert. But I think you and I both know many people would really not enjoy seeing you hurt. You are the only one who can decide and at times you might even decide to jump in knowing it might not end well (to which I truly hope is not the case and that either you end up happily ever after or ... never jump in). But if you do try again ... may your beautiful heart doubts less, worries less, and be free of all anxiety of anyone else interferring again. Sending good thoguhts your way. And yes, subscribed!

I’m sorry you had badness effect you so much but it sounds like you’re coping with it well and learning from it. And now you’re reconnecting as friends. I can relate to this aspect of your adventure as well as experiencing that moment in time you keep going back to in memory, wishing to experience it again. You have a poetic way of explaining if not thinking. I love your comment about some things being more stable in memory is so poignant. You’re free to do as you please but as one who had a similar experience and wanted what I had lost back, keep in mind you can never go back home. Things and people change. Even if get back together romantically you won’t be able to enjoy it much. You’ll wonder if you can trust him, or too scared that he’s going to hurt you again. Friends are great, but don’t trust him with your heart, life is too short and precious, if you stay behind in the past you rob yourself and a good man of the opportunity for new happiness and peace. Again, just my thoughts. This is my first video I’ve watched of yours but I subscribed and look forward to seeing more. Thank you for sharing this part of your story 😎

"Once upon a time when we were friends I gave you my heart, the story ends No happy ever after, now we're friends Wish upon a star if that might help The stars collide if you decide Wish upon a star if that might help What's it like to have loved And to lose her touch? What's it like to have loved And to lose that much? Well, I hope and I pray that maybe someday You'll walk in the room with my heart Add and subtract that as a matter of fact Now that you've gone, I still want you back Remembering, surrendering Remembering that part All of my heart " - Martin Frye, ABC

Very common, especially in the outback, with dried grass and much more common with petrol vehicles. Plenty of burnt out vehicles as testimony to this sort of thing. Taking a couple of different ways to extinguish burning material and checking vehicle regularly if in those conditions is recommended.

@oldbloke204
@oldbloke204 3 жыл бұрын
@@OverlandLady Sad fact is that plenty of people in this country have died by not knowing about or taking precautions when out and about in remote areas here. Sometimes the horror story ends very badly indeed, including for locals. If travelling alone and remote here the first order of business, imo, are things like PLB's and other safety equipment. Sadly, for a lot it isn't. It's a beautiful and harsh place all at the same time. Glad you enjoyed the place, it is pretty amazing.

@@OverlandLady Yeah sounds like you have your head screwed on, many don't. Even a snakebite or fall can be serious when you are out and about and help isn't close at hand. It's a shame you didn't have time to do some places. The Eyre peninsula is awesome, there is so much to see as I'm sure that there are in many places. Oh well there are plenty of others putting up videos so at least you can get to see some of it that way. Reality is that it would take a long long time and plenty of coin to see even some of it and spend time exploring. Nowhere as big as some places but probably a lot bigger than people expect it to be.

As they say here in Victoria Australia, you can every type of weather in one day. Heater & winter Woolies in the morning & bathers on in the afternoon. Your photography is excellent, having a drone certainly helps in getting some amazing views. I do hope you get the chance to come back one day, if & when overseas traveling resumes. Covid has had such a huge impact across the world. I've only watched one other video of yours. So can only assume by what you have said in this video but can hear the sadness in your voice. My opinion is that by having to edit & posting this video, It must have taken a great deal of courage, I'm glad you are now friends. I too seperated from my partner of 16 years but now we can text msg every now & then & have both put the pain aside. You won't ever forget but you can learn to forgive & with that Healing begins. Best wishes from Victoria Australia 🇦🇺🐨👍🏻😁😁😁😁😁. PS think I like the blonde hair the best.
