Those Oklahoma boys are back together again. No more pain, no more Cancer. Wayman is the best basketball player to ever come out of Oklahoma & then played 16 years pro with the Sun's. Then when he retired, he turned to music. For his patriotic side, check out 'American soldier' or his biggest one, 'which he wrote after9/11, called 'Courtesy of the red, white & blue, the angry American'. For his fun side, 'As good as I once was', 'How do you like me now?', 'Trailerhood', 'I wanna talk about me', 'Red solo cup' & on & on & on. LOL The world has lost a very funny, patriotic man & my heart is broken.

Wayman was a person with the biggest smile from ear to ear, he was like a big Teddy bear. I had the pleasure of seeing him in concert with Dave Koz , is the guy you see on the Saxophone also a close friend of him. When Wayman passed away and Toby dedicated this song, he asked Dave Koz to play the saxs on this track.

This song was for his close friend Wayman Tisdale who died of cancer and as you could see in the video he lost his leg to it as well. But you never saw him without a smile. Toby wrote this song on the way to Wayman's funeral but couldn't perform it cause it hurt too much so he sang Angel's flying too close to the ground by Willie Nelson instead. Another funny song of his you need to do is "How do you like me now" or if you want another serious one " Wish I didn't know now"

For years I have begged folks to react to this song & video; one of those far too overlooked, ‘under-seen & under-heard’ songs/videos as I call them. Toby could be hella funny (Red Solo Cup, How Do You Like Me Now, I Wanna Talk About Me), but this other side of him seemed to kinda get lost. A couple of other great ones that show dif sides of Toby: Love Me If You Can & Hope On The Rocks. Don’t Let the Old Man In as well, but it enjoyed a broad viewing during his final Opry appearance (def check out of you haven’t!). As for his friend for whom the song was penned- Wayman Tisdale: Oklahoma Sooners, NBA, & Jazz guitar great… not to mention published author. Most important of all- loving husband, father, grandfather, & friend. James Brown & Elvis; Gayle Sayers & Brian Piccolo; Toby & Wayman… ALL truly great American love stories we’d do well to remember each & every day🥹❤️ Enjoyed your reaction; SUBSCRIBED😊 Stay safe & love big💖
