No not really. It had a lot of logical flaws, story direction was poor, the plot contradicted itself, the character design was a bit off in my opinion. It also had the problem of too many dance sequences, pop songs and potty humour. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t like the movie, I’m just saying that you have to admit it does have its flaws

You want to know what summer is like. Well everything is frozen over. It's very very windy so windy that you'll be knocked over. Also it's raining ice chunks the size of cars. They're flying sideways because of the wind. Also there's big lightning storms. Also there's tornadoes. So just imagine that with all of the ice chunks flying around. Sounds pretty chill to me. Get it 😄

DreamWorks films have always been hit or miss, but you can always tell which ones they really put a lot of actual effort into (i.e. The Croods) as opposed to being just a quick moneymaker (i.e. MegaMind). Home looks like it's gonna be the former. Can't wait to see it!

I agree it's a good film, but coming on the heels of Despicable Me, there was an inescapable "me too" vibe about it. And it's not the first time they've pulled that trick either. Remember when Antz came out at the same time as A Bug's Life? Antz was good too, but you know they were aware of what Pixar was doing and just did something similar to cash in. DreamWorks does have a pretty good track record overall, but still, going for quantity over quality as they do means that some of their films will be much better than others. I enjoyed Home a great deal and I'm glad it's been so successful, but while it's better than Shark Tale or Bee Movie, it doesn't quite reach the heights of Kung Fu Panda or How To Train Your Dragon. I'd say it's about even with Monsters VS Aliens.
