Not everyone can be themselves when they get really nervous around their crush. But Mari does have her moments. I understand what you are trying to say about how Chat isn’t as respecting about keeping their identities secret. Though I do sometimes feel that Adrien just likes Ladybug as the person who saves Paris and will fall in love with whoever is under that mask even if he doesn’t kno who the girl is. I feel that Adrien is like a big cause in the conflict between their relationship as well and it isn’t Mari’s faults. Just a long opinion no need to read it.

i’m crying, and i want you to cry with me so imagine this- ladybug and chat noir go into a battle, but before they do (they already know each other’s identities) ladybug or marinette looks at chat and says “i’ll love you forever, okay? so promise me we’ll see each other again.” they promise ladybug gets hecka hurt in battle and just about dies on the battleground, and chat changes back into adrien, as ladybug changes back as well, and says “we made a promise” he basically holds her in his arms as her last words are “thank you” then adrien goes “i guess forever just wasn’t long enough” as the battle rages around them, he just holds her 🥺
