Just for your info this watch is a new caliber moment by Seiko that runs 28,800 BPM not 21,600 BPM not a base from the 6R35, it’s a whole new barrel system and springs made just for this watch. Just need to correct your specs on here as I work for a watch company here in Vegas and deal with all makes, models and brands. Hope this helps.

Excellent review and once again a great start - i appreciate the effort you make!! Also lovely macro shots and music! I really like the watch and think the size will be ok for my 7.25" wrist. I also don't mind this type of watch (not one I'd wear in water) not having a screw down crown - as it will have the advantage of being quicker to wind and set, not to mention being less likely to get cross threaded or such! The dial pattern looks great and I think the copper coloured GMT hand is perfect - so much nicer than all of the orange and red ones on other GMT watches!! The date indicator is nice different, and the PR indicator is useful. Just a really great Seiko watch that has lovely case finishing and a suitable true GMT movement. I'm really looking forward to more of your new 2021 Seiko release reviews. Keep up the great work!!
@perpetuality3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for the kind words. The week I had the watch the more I bonded with it. Yes it’s wide but it’s not unmanageable- I know the gmt movement requires a larger case- but can you imagine if this was made handwound to facilitate a thinner case? However a gmt should be an automatic as that is required when travelling and tracking time zones, no time to be winding watches so nevermind- the movement is wonderful. That said in the long list of seiko releases this one hit hardest for me. Thanks for watching buddy!

I absolutely love this watch, it blew me away with it's looks. Then I bought a G.S. GMT chronograph spring drive and that is an actual thing of wonder. Don't own Rolex and never will. Omega, longines of course but never Rolex. I don't like the marketing games they play.

This is the kind of value that made Seiko, Seiko we want affordable sport models with 4 hertz movements dynamic dials and extra features like a power reserve and a gmt hand and a exhibition case back from a fully in house brand and for around $1k is a crazy good value for a watch like this was A little disappointing to find out it doesn’t have a screw down crown that’s what kept me from buying the crown chrono reissue such a beautiful watch but even if it’s a Dressier watch I still want a screw down crown I don’t want to have to worry about getting whatever is on my wrist wet or knocked around a little this might have enough going for it without a screw down to pick up but if they could use this recipe in a prospex watch for this kind of money it would sell like gangbusters a power reserve GMT diver or just a power reserve function would be welcomed with open arms we know they can do it because orient did with the triton probably one of the best value dive watches ever made I guess it also wouldn’t be very Seiko if they didn’t give us something to b$&?h about though right? 🤣

Thank you Robert. I echo your thoughts- the date indicator jumps out to me as wasted space- I would have preferred for a clean dial and a date window at 6oclock

I hear alot if ppl mention screwdown crowns in watch reviews, why are they so good?
@robertlock60412 жыл бұрын
@@edwardbrock3807 Hi Edward, a screw down crown helps to keep out dust and water. All dive watches have them for this reason. The Beyond the Press channel tested some watches to destruction in the pressure tank: the crown always held: the watch failed when the case back distorted enough to interfere with the movement. The second failure was the crystal. This Seiko has 100m water resistance, but I would be nervous taking it swimming with only an "O" ring or two keeping the internals dry. If you treat it like a dry land watch only it should be fine though.

I love JDM watches. I love Seiko, I love Casio, I love pretty much every Japanese watch out there. But there's four things that I don't like that put me off. First, it's the power reserve indicator. It just feels...wrong, and looks better without it. Second, the radial date. If I'm supposed to travel, I want the ability to read the date in an instant, and not try to take a moment/squint, to read the date. Thirdly, I think it'd look better with a steel bezel. Last but not least, the size. It almost feels like a dinner plate. If they made it in a 40.5 with a 3 o'clock date and no PR, I would actually get one immediately. In fact, the only things I love about the watch are the dial and the fact that you can jump the hour hand. Nonetheless, Seiko, if you ever see this, please, please, please make it a 40.5 with a standard, non-radial date at 3 and no PR. It'll perform amazingly in terms of sales.
