The John Deere is still in the workshop and after an issue sourcing special bolts but mr Alan Clyde is the unlikely candidate to pull John out of a hole. Book torque and mechanic torque are not always the same thing. The tractor is now being rebuilt but still a few home made modifications to be made. We also get a look incab with nuts,bolts,pins and linkages that are not normally seen. Hard to believe the price of parts especially when its a tiny brake valve but if you are going to cart silage you need the green machine left right. Has the previous trailer man been sore on the pick up hitch ?

Love seeing this type of video, as its real life and not all the fancy crack and lettin on these things dont happen. As regards to your hitch, would you not be better sourcing a newer model JD hitch from a breakers yard that would not have as much wear and tear as compared to the money and work involved in rebuilding that one up? I would certainly look at it as an option first as the newer ones are tidyer and stronger built.

I feel like if you got back 10/20 years you have to have a Deere like yours a 00,10,20,30 but today i think you have to look at different brands nothing beats a classic 10 series Nice video

The problem with John Deere nowadays is your basic models like the M's without all the technology are still above 100k for a decent spec tractor. You can understand the cost of the R series tractors because the technology and ergonomics on them are simply the best in the market in my opinion however not everyone can afford that, especially for the UK market as making money in farming is going to get harder and harder

the funniest thing is my new holland has a gearbox that's going out and she went to the dealer in 2010 to get looked at and they just told us to get used to it the funniest bit is its 2021 and she is yet to destroy the box
